CN 2507, CN 5525 & CN 5435 lead an eastbound past Lachine Station in 2007. Both cowl units have since left CN's roster, while CN 2507 soldiers on.
Several years ago, long before the Delaware Lackawanna RR enjoyed the frac sand boom, traffic on the former D&H Carbondale mainline was sparse. During the fall of 2007, DL was involved with shipping loaded stone from a transload facility near Dickson City out to the B&P in North Salamanca, NY. ALCO S-6 1044 fresh from the paint shop leads RS-3's 4103-4118 are northbound shown crossing the Lackawanna River with 20 empties for loading. The fresh ALCO was to be dropped off at Steamtown for the weekend Railfest, but the crew was obliging to run it for the morning for us. It was a darn good day, after this it was off to Cresco for the PRR E-8's making a one time only trip over the Poconos with a special from Philly.

This glorious new mosque was built by Rafic Hariri before his assassination. It stands proud by Martyrs Square, the focal point of Beirut and is slowly becoming a defining symbol of Beirut. The Mosque opened its doors in 2006 and is architecturally stunning, resembling the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.
This picture was taken in a peaceful environment September 15, 2007 and is dedicated to Antoine Ghanem, assassinated September 19, 2007, a few days before he was returning from exile.
According to Al-Seyassah's sources inside Syria, the assassination was performed by Syrian intelligence, who continuously monitored Ghanem's movements.
Prague Castle is a castle complex in Prague, Czech Republic, dating from the 9th century. It is the official office of the President of the Czech Republic. The castle was a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world, occupying an area of almost 70,000 square metres (750,000 square feet), at about 570 metres (1,870 feet) in length and an average of about 130 metres (430 feet) wide.

Its that time of year again.
Selecting those was a pain.
But in the end I chose White Cowl for the stupid and reckless trip down that hillside to get the shot, and the winged boxes for the fun it was to make on location.

A Union Pacific Operation Lifesaver special was crossing the Chicago River and passing Amtrak's 21st Street "tower" in 2007 behind UP E9 949.
The train departed Northwestern Station, passed through Global I and rolled through here on the way to Dolton and eventually Beecher, where it reversed and came back to Northwestern Station.
It was quite a circuitous routing through Chicagoland behind classic locomotion.
Dreaming of summer. This shot was taken 2007 and that's the last time I've been in to natural water because last summer was cold and rainy. But today it's sunny, snow wants to melt and spring is coming.

Im Frühjahr 2007 rollten die 15000-bespannten Corailzüge noch täglich zu Dutzenden durch das Marnetal. Mit drei Farbgebungen war für ausreichend Abwechslung gesorgt. Zudem zeigten sich diese entweder noch mit Corail Plus- oder aber Corail Teoz-Garnituren. Wie so oft freute man sich auch hier am meisten über das Original, das "Grandconfort-Livrée", auch wenn der Kenner weiß, dass es zu diesem Zeitpunkt nur noch die bereits modernisierte Variante des Klassikers gab.
An diesem Fotopunkt bei Reuilly erspähte man den Zug meiner Erinnerung nach bereits deutlich bevor das so vertraute "Brrrrrrr..." vom Bahnübergang her zu hören war und sich die Schranken senkten. Es war aber noch ausreichend Zeit, das Baguette und den Ziegenkäse beiseite zu legen, um sich auf das Auslösen der Kamera zu konzentrieren.
