Freestyle in 2004. Painted at Intermedia Arts in Minneapolis, Mn. Painted with Viper and Chen. This is actually a shot of my finished piece with an unfinished background. Later Viper had filled in the background to to make our pieces a little more congruent and the production a little more together with black. I finished it off with some hit ups and some extra background forcefield stuff but never really got a good photo of it. This piece was painted with all American paint. I hadn't really painted very much in years and this was one of the few if not the only piece I had painted that year. I think I might have done a Hip Hop event or something that year too and some legal murals for cash. Other then that, I don't remember too much about this piece. I remember cracking some brews with the boys while painting and even remember having some asshole lawyer from IA give me a hard time because I painted this while standing on the top of a ten foot aluminum ladder. He would come out and just act all disgusted towards me. Finally one time, he said some shit while leaving the building like, "Don't Fall....". So I had to get all Boys in the Hood on his ass and approached him like, "What'd you say, We got a problem here?". He just looked at me all shook and was like, "I said, don't fall." I was like, "Why? You think I'm trying to fall or something? Why would I do that?" He replied, "It's just a real big liability to have you standing on an unsecured ladder on the property." I had to remind him that I wasn't trying to take advantage of IA and really appreciated the fact that they would allow us to paint here and that falling and getting hurt is the last thing on my mind. He then sped off in his BMW. That conversation really left a bad taste in my mouth. I had painted that building for years and the thought of trying to sue them for some liability bullshit, if I had gotten hurt had never even crossed my mind. Fuckin' asshole! They just don't know about us writers. Funny thing is, now I run those walls......... Sucker!

I decided to look at some photos taken with my first DSLR, a Canon 300D 6.1MP with 18-55 kit lens. Taken at f4 for the light I'd do it differently now, and it certainl;y doesn't stand up to enlargement, but all things considered I don't think this came out too bad,
