A water reservoir in the park. / Miniatűr tó a parkban.
Madurodam, a miniature park in The Hague, Netherlands - we visited the park in July 2003, with my son and a good friend. The park is home to a range of perfect 1:25 scale model replicas of famous Dutch castles, public buildings, and large industrial projects as found at various locations in the country. It opened in 1952 and has been visited by tens of millions of visitors since then. Madurodam has a railway network of approximately 4 km, there are 50,000 lights in the city, miniature cars drive an average of 22,000 km per year (almost the same as an average Dutchman). Madurodam was named after George Maduro, a Jewish law student from Curaçao who fought the Nazi occupation forces as a member of the Dutch resistance and died at the Dachau concentration camp in 1945.
A park autómodelljei évente 22ezer km-t mennek. A parkot George Maduro második világháborús ellenállóról nevezték el, ugyanis az építést a szülői fizették 1952-ben.
On this 2003 Monte Carlo we painted a silver stripe with a red border on the hood, roof, trunk and Spoiler. Within the stripe on the trunk we painted a Chevy Bow Tie Logo. We replaced the stock hood with a aftermarket ram air hood.

2003 Barolo
Piedmont, Italy
T22042008. 14.0%. 100% Nebbiolo with 2.5 years in French oak before bottling and release. Perfumed bouquet, floral, red fruit. Medium-bodied, balanced with good acidity, some oak. Very good, but not a great Barolo. Short to medium finish. Drink from 2009 to 2018.
A walk at the seashore (the Atlantic Ocean). / Séta a tenger (Atlanti-óceán) partján.
Le Havre, Normandy, France - pictures taken during a walking tour in the city in April 2003. As I often did, I added a day to my business trip so that air fare would be cheaper for the company (by adding a Saturday night to the trip), and I used it to take a train to visit two towns in Normandy.
Le Havre, kikötőváros a Szajna torkolatában Normandiában, Franciaországban. 2003.
Le Havre is situated on the right bank of the estuary of the river Seine on the English Channel, remains deeply influenced by its employment and maritime traditions. Its port is the second largest in France, for total traffic, and the largest French container port. The name Le Havre means 'the harbour' or 'the port'. After the 1944 bombings the firm of Auguste Perret began to rebuild the city in concrete. The oil, chemical, and automotive industries were dynamic during the Trente Glorieuses (postwar boom) but the 1970s marked the end of the golden age of ocean liners and the beginning of the economic crisis: the population declined, unemployment increased and remains at a high level today. I personally felt inclined to visit the place for a Michel Quoist roman that takes place here and that I read as a teenager.
Cemetery in Clervaux, Luxembourg, in July 2003. I took my son and a friend and visited the Benelux states, living in my brother's Belgian home and making road trips in the area. This day, we visited places of interest in rural Luxembourg.

Pictures from December 2003. We went for a walk in the town, probably to Sunday mess in the Catholic church (the date must have been wrong in the camera).
