The first generation of the Honda Insight was built from 1999 until 2006. It was the first hybrid car available in the USA. It was a lightweight and aerodynamical car. Later Insights were far more traditional vehicles.

A nice example of the Chris Bangle-designed coupe (whatever happened to him?) from the final year of production. These are surely on the verge of being collectable.

I forgot to post pictures of this Fiat 2000 Spider the other day.

The Škoda Felicia was built from 1994 until 2001. It was the first new Škoda model after the Volkswagen takeover in 1991. Not completely new however as it was a facelifted version of the Favorit introduced by Škoda in 1987.

Thanks everyone for your support and feedback. I started hanging out on Flickr 2011 and this is still the AFOL Community that I like best.

As a "reward" I give you a teaser/WIP of something I'm working on right now ;)

In 1993 at the Metro Park Station in Woodbridge NJ, I photographed the Swedish built X-2000, which was leased by AMTRAK for testing on the Northeast Corridor between New York City and Washington, DC. Also during the early 1990's the ICE Train was also tested on the Northeast Corridor. The result was the development of the ACELA High Speed Train that now runs between Boston, Mass and Washington, DC. This photo of the X-2000 is a Scan of the slide I took with my Minolta Maxxim 5000 on August 14,1993.

Only 2 left sorn now from 2000 this one sadly scrapped

Registered not long before the end if I'm right in thinking? The 8 Series is definately high on my Cars To Own bucket list.

Last MoT test expired in November 2022 (SORN).

Each year as the ZX's MOT approaches I go through my mind as to what I might buy as its replacement. So far I've not had to worry, and this year is no exception.

I like small cars. I've no idea what one of these would be like to own. Not many were sold and fewer survive so spares might be an issue. If parts are available, are they expensive? Rust? All things for skinflint motorists like me to consider.

A nice bright looking little car anyway. A 999cc GSi. 53,000 miles at the last MOT, and it's had a few rust fails. The first car I've photographed that has had an ownership change in 2020.
