The Kappa was built by Lancia from 1994 until 2000. It shared its platform with the Alfa Romeo 166. The Kappa was succeeded by the ill-fated Thesis. After the cooperation with Chrysler failed Lancia is reduced to one single model available in some most European markets.

The Pride was one of the first Kia models in Europe in 1995. It was built in collaboration with Ford and Mazda who sold the car as Festiva and 121. The Pride was sold here until 2000. Due to its low price it was quite popular in those days.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that I managed to acquire all three versions of Kitty Fun Barbie as an adult collector. You have no idea how much I mooned over this doll as a kid! I remember I would get so excited any time the Kitty Fun commercial would air on television. Colleen and I would instantly drop what we were doing and would sing obnoxiously along with the jingle..."Kitty Fun Barbie! Marshmallow and me!" I think part of the hype behind this doll was the fact that we had a white cat named Marshmallow at the time. It was so unbelievably awesome that Barbie had a pet with the same likeness and name. Plus, her cat PEED and you got to scoop the clumps out from the litter box. Who knew that this would be such a novelty to kids. Oh, Mattel did, that's why they produced her in the first place! I admit that I find the blonde variation of Kitty Fun Barbie to be the least aesthetically pleasing of the trio. But that's a bit bias since I'm naturally more inclined towards non-blonde dolls. However, with Kitty Fun Barbie, the blonde gal was the iconic face shown in the unforgettable commercial. She was also the same doll I bought my friend Lisa for her birthday one year. I remember watching Lisa open up Barbie and the two of us testing out Marshmallow's litter box. So it was a dream of mine to get my hands on the blonde Barbie, even though I'd already tracked down the brunette and African American variants. It was sometime in the summer of 2012 when I got this doll. It was early the same year when I found my brunette and AA dolls at the local flea market. Sometime in June or July, my cousin's then girlfriend (now wife) decided to get her childhood dolls from her parents' house and have Colleen and me fix them up for her. I was on a fishing trip with Uncle David that day, having no idea what Colleen and Krissy were up to. When I came back from "fishing" (which really meant throwing up from being seasick), I was delighted to see Uncle David's living room strewn with Barbies all over the floor. Krissy said we could keep a few dolls in return for washing the others. Colleen had already asked her about this blonde Kitty Fun...she knew how badly I wanted her. Barbie was missing her shirt at the time, but still had fragments of her accessories. We got to keep all of her fixings too! I love this doll since she is not only my dream Kitty Fun Barbie, but also a generous gift from a family member. I'm glad that she was able to "stay" in the family, and that she has three Kitty Fun sisters to keep her company.

"Kitty Fun Barbie, Marshmallow and me!" I will never, ever forget the infamous Kitty Fun Barbie commercial of my childhood. Like the Generation Girl, Kelly Club Amusement Park, and Jam 'n Glam Tour Bus commercials, this Kitty Fun ad was never forgotten. Even after a five year hiatus from dolls, Colleen and I could still bust out into song. This set came out around the time we got a white cat in real life. While out at work one day, Dad saw that a mama cat had gotten run over by a car. She had a single kitten with her, that was crying by her dead body. Dad (who was a cat lover) felt terrible for the kitten. When he got home that night, he told the family of the poor kitty, and expressed that he should have taken it home. None of us really thought that Dad would be able to find the kitten the next day while driving around for work. But it just so happened that this kitty hadn't strayed far from his mother's body. I'll never forget coming home from school the next afternoon. Mom handed me the dictionary and asked if I could look up the word cat. I was very confused, as an eight year old, needless to say. When I sat on the couch, I suddenly spotted the all white cat with one green eye, and one blue eye. He was the cutest kitten in the whole world! Colleen and I named him Marshmallow because of his color.

When we found out that Barbie also had a cat named Marshmallow, we were ecstatic. Of course, I don't think Barbie's kitty was a stray. This cat looks like a fancy purebred, like the one on the Fancy Feast food containers she was packaged with. I desperately wanted my own Kitty Fun Barbie. Back then, I didn't get brand new Barbies super often. Mostly that's because I was supposed to save my allowance money up for things, and I was TERRIBLE at doing so. But I did get to play with a Kitty Fun Barbie. I picked one out for my friend Lisa as a birthday gift that year. Lisa was always like me and loved animals (although she admittedly wasn't much of a cat person). She must have thought Barbie's cat was cool though, because we opened it that same day. I recall sitting in her bedroom trying out the litter gimmick. These dolls came with colorful, clumping sand. The idea is that you bottle feed Marshmallow water and he pees in the litter box. Then you can scoop the litter clumps out! Honestly it made a horrifying mess. I think that's why I decided not to get myself a Kitty Fun Barbie. Even as a kid, I was extremely fastidious (to the point where Mom and Dad both thought I was very odd). I still wanted Kitty Fun Barbie...just not for $20!!!

As you can see, my inner child was satisfied with not one, but FOUR Kitty Fun Barbies. I have a duplicated African American doll, not shown here (she was actually my first). I found all three of these dolls in a year's time. The first (not shown as I mentioned) I got on opening day 2012 at the flea market. The last, ironically the other AA doll, I got boxed at a consignment shop in early 2013. Clearly Kitty Fun Barbie was an amazing seller. However, if I didn't get a boxed version, I'd still be chasing after Marshmallow. I did get a few of the spare pieces with my blonde lady. She was my cousin's wife's childhood doll. But she had lost her cat years before. Ironically, some of the spare Kitty Fun accessories I have once belonged to my friend Lisa! She ended up giving me and Colleen what she could find of her childhood doll stuff in 2015/2016. Although Barbie herself was missing, there were fragments of her left behind...it's very awesome having bits of the first Kitty Fun doll I played with. Honestly, as a kid it seemed like Kitty Fun Barbie came with a lot more goodies. Now I can recognize that she mostly came with a plethora of useless colorful sand (which I obviously chucked when I got my boxed doll...still traumatized from the mess we made at Lisa's house). Even though there have been dozens of pet themed Barbies produced over the years, this Kitty Fun doll will always be a classic. The commercial, the years of pining, and of course the cat who forever captures the memory of my own kitty named Marshmallow make this Kitty Fun Barbie impossible to beat.

The Saturn L series is a line of automobiles, sedans and station wagons, that were made by Saturn Corporation in Wilmington, Delaware.

Poor sales of the L-series cars caused GM to cancel the line for 2005. The first L-series car was built in January 1999, and the last one rolled off the Wilmington line on June 17, 2004, after a short run of 2005 models. About 406,300 L-series cars were built in this period.

The post box (and part of the exterior walls) is about all that remain from those days.

We have to go back all the way to 1934 to find the last example of a Liverpool cinema being put into an existing building (the Tatler in Church Street), and that was an isolated case.

This Everyman Cinema is part of the Everyman Circuit of 24 cinema sites (so far), and has nothing to do with Liverpool's Everyman Theatre, which - coincidentally - started life as the Everyman Cinema in 1961.

Googling the Everyman Cinema (Liverpool) shows that the 'screens' have been fitted out very luxuriously with sofas (complete with cushions!), so Lord knows how much it costs to see a film.

However, Googling Everyman's site reveals that the staff are on zero-hour contracts and minimum wage.

Go figure.

The Datsun Sports (called Datsun Fairlady in the Japanese and Australian markets), was a series of roadsters produced by Nissan in the 1960s. The series was a predecessor to the Z-car in the Fairlady line, and offered an competitor to the European MG, Triumph, Fiat and Alfa Romeo sports cars. The line began with the 1959 "S211" and continued through 1970 with the "SP311" and "SR311" line.

The Fairlady saw competitors follow its introduction, with examples called the Honda S500, the Toyota Sports 800, and the Daihatsu Compagno. In Japan, it represented one of three core products offered by Nissan at Japanese Nissan Dealerships called Nissan Shop, alongside the Datsun Truck and the Datsun 1000. The Datsun SRL 2000 was the 2 seat roadster that made their name. Paul Newman started his racing career in one. It had a potent 1982cc overhead cam engine with dual SU type side draft carbs and a 5 speed transmission.

The introduction of the 1967 SR311 and SRL311 saw a major update. Produced from March 1967 – 1970, the SR311 used a 2.0 L (1,982 cc) U20 engine and offered a five-speed manual transmission, somewhat unexpected for a production car at the time. The first-year cars (known as "half year" cars) are sought as there were fewer than 1,000 produced which are unencumbered with the 1968 model year emissions and safety changes. The new SOHC engine produced 135 PS (99 kW; 133 hp). An optional Competition package included dual Mikuni/Solex carburetors; a special "B" model camshaft for 150 PS (110 kW; 150 hp); higher limit gauges; and a license plate surround. In Australia there were no emission restrictions and all 2.0 litre cars were fitted with the Competition package as standard.

Due to the 2.0 litre engine, Japanese versions were regarded as expensive, specialized, sports cars due to the annual road tax obligation.

The Datsun 2000 was lauded as a bargain sports car. It was raced by John Morton, Bob Sharp and others. Its sticker price was lowest in its class, but it won its class in C Production (Mikuni-Solex carburetors) and D-Production (Hitachi-SU carburetors), in SCCA racing on a consistent basis even after production stopped.
