Saw 2 on Sunday during a guided walk which were a first this year. Never managed to get a shot , so was pleased to find this beauty posing for me today ! First time capture for me, so I'm pleased with the results!
This is looking across Ritchey Creek at location (2) on the map. From this point of view it looks like no big deal to cross. What you are not seeing is how steep it is to get down to the creek from this side. Nor can you appreciate just how slippery the wet rocks are! We tried & tried to figure a way across but had to turn back rather than spend more time frustrated here.
We encountered another couple who were coming this way as we were returning. The turned around after trying to figure a way across too.
I scanned Fremont 1 & 2 on the B&W setting. Not till I went to scan the next set of negative did it dawn on me that the film was COLOUR! D'oh. Guess that's what happens when you've had a couple of drinks earlier in the evening...
So I re scanned them in colour. But I decided I liked the B&W so I kept them and scanned others from colour to B&W. I think some actually look better in B&W.
