Leeuwarden, 29 March 2022.
The sun broke though the clouds when this Canadian Hornet took off.
There are six Hornets at Leeuwarden for Frisian Flag. It's nice to see them back in Europe. Most of them were stationed in West Germany once.
The one pictured here is 188797. I was at Baden Sollingen on 19 January 1993 when this particular bird left Germany and flew back to Canada.
I am absolutely aware this is lacking in any artistic value and skill, I just liked the look of it. As a side note- WOW I LOVE FOXY SHAZAM.

So, as I have no willing victims of my own to pose, and want to get to grips with portraits, a good friend kindly let me experiment with hers today.

Leyland Lynx no 188 (H188 OSG) was the last of a batch of twelve bought by Lothian Region Transport to replace the group of Leopards 122-133P. Fleet numbers 177 to 188 were brought into operation in 1991 they were unique in being dual-doored - number 188 was the very last single decker purchased by LRT.
I was delighted to see again this year the pride and joy given to this by Calum Melrose and Graham Cochrane - so many years of work to get this vehicle back to its former glory - one can stand here in awe at the mastery of work that is in front of you. It really is special to see this.
