Lots of pictures to post… Just came back from a wonderful road trip from Holland through France all the way to Spain, I’ll be posting bits by bits… and I’ll be visiting your streams bits by bits as well… missed you all.

Day 2 – Longue, France

Who wouldn’t want to take some time to sit and rest on a tree like this one… although you can’t actually see the tree guess you can imagine from the size of his trunk it was a huge one…

Sh2-188 è una nebulosa planetaria nella costellazione di Cassiopea.

Benché sia stata inclusa nel Catalogo Sharpless, si tratta in realtà di una nebulosa planetaria, situata a una distanza di 711 anni luce dal Sistema Solare.

Appare come un involucro ben marcato su un lato e molto disperso sull’altro, dove sembra essersi già dissolta.

Tramite la sua velocità di espansione si è determinata un'età di circa 7500 anni. Benché il suo aspetto ricordi un resto di supernova, questa possibilità è stata esclusa a causa della tipologia delle sue emissioni.

Per la nebulosa in sé ho usato la combinazione HaOIII, mentre l’RGB è stato usato solo per le stelle.

Sh2-188 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia.

Although included in the Sharpless Catalog, it is actually a planetary nebula, located 711 light-years away from the Solar System.

It appears as a well-marked envelope on one side and very dispersed on the other, where it appears to have already dissolved.

Through its speed of expansion an age of about 7500 years has been determined. Although its appearance resembles a supernova remnant, this possibility has been ruled out due to the nature of its emissions.

For the nebula itself I used the HaOIII combination, while RGB was used only for the stars.

Where to go when you haven't been out in public for the past 4 months? To the place you know and love the most and is in the open air and with social distancing plans worked out to a tee. This was taken on the ramped entrance to The British Birds of Prey Centre at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales . only a brief visit there though to renew my membership. The rest of the day was spent photoing the cultured flowers there but also their wildlife in their habitats. With apologies to regular contacts for 'ignoring ' your Flickrstreams because an 'ability scooter' is great but after 4 months of not doing anything 'normal ' it has been tiring to say the least .
