We tear ourselves apart too quickly like those betta fish that destroy themselves. I'm not sure why they do it. Perhaps the thought of swimming around in the same bowl for the rest of their lives is frightening. Did you know that betta fish can rarely live in the same bowl? They try to kill each other. They fight to death because they have no where to run to. In the wild, however, this never happens. The stronger fish advance on the weaker fish but the weaker fish can always escape because there is room to escape. I had a beta fish once and her fins deteriorated. One day I found her floating at the top of the bowl and I cried. It's okay to be hard on yourself. There's no other way to be better. And maybe this has nothing to do with fish, but I think we should leave the bowl. Fuck the bowl, with its waters just for you, and its fake rocks at the bottom. Welcome to the stream. Live for yourself and love those who love you correctly.

Lothian have removed all Eclipse from the Lothian Country fleet, gave them an overhall and put them back in the main city fleet, with a repaint where required as some were not repainted into Lothian Country livery. |These have been replaced with B5TLs from the Skylink services as they appear to be winding down Skylink branding.
This is all due to new management in the company.
Recently repainted into Lothian's "fleet of the future" livery is Wright Eclipse Urban 188 - SN13BFO which was most recently in the Skylink blue livery.
DAY 188. 7/7/11
Another one from the road today. Took a similar one a couple of months ago, but I just like the sky and the Spirit of Tasmania in the background. More tomorrow.
PAINTED TOMS! I went over to my friend's house last week and we had a TOMS painting party! Mine are the red ones on the left, and the black ones in the middle :) I REALLY love how they came out, especially the black ones! It was so much fun :D

Three handsome brothers connecting with their mother, the bride, as she walks down the sidewalk to greet them in her magical fairytale wedding gown.
One more wedding in the books for my partner Lisa and I. Documenting the joy, beauty and love of this special day for couples is enchanting through the lens.
Don't you find it interesting that in some cultures women are not allowed to show their hair? I do. We sometimes do show too much of ourselves and leave too little to the imagination..
Bristol 188, She also looks stunning up close and personal in monochrome. Just look at the mirror effect of the highly polished fuselage. I know that some of the museum staff have spent a few days polishing her before she was brought out into the fresh air.

"Cold, cold water surrounds me now
And all I've got is your hand
Love, can you hear me now?
Love, can you hear me now?
Love, can you hear me now?
Or am I lost?
Love one's daughter
Allow me that
And I can't let go of your hand
Love, can you hear me now?
Love, can you hear me now?
Love, can you hear me now?
Or am I lost?"

This bus was new to LRT as 188 in 1991.
Seen here at the SVBM.
This bus was the last in a batch of 12 delivered to LRT and were unique in being the only Leyland Lynxs to have 2 sets of doors. LRT had a big order book with Leyland/Volvo (they had taken over Leyland buses, by then) and used that to get their Lynxs with 2 sets of doors, making them unique and rare.
188 being the last one, was saved for preservation being the only one with a good body. Parts were saved from sister buses.
The exit doors have since taken a lot of work to reinstate, but are finally working. A lot of work done and more still to come.

I shot this over the winter in Detroit. I never posted it because I just couldn't get it to look how I wanted it to. I didn't have time to shoot tonight after work, so I pulled this open, and I think I finally got it to where I wanted it to be. I have a weird feeling toward it now; I'm glad it's done and posted, but I don't like the idea of using such an old photo. Oh well.
Have a great weekend!
