Tonight we grilled King Crab claws and legs. $60 worth of crab grilled over indirect heat, plus corn on the cob and a pitcher of margaritas split between three people made for full bellies and lots of laughs.
July's ABC Soup -- K is for King Crab...yum!
Parents evening at number 3's nursery this evening. Brimming with pride as we left, I was reminded of what a wonderful place it is. They even put the flags out.
As I was thinking about finally doing my July mosaic, I realized that I hadn't done my June mosaic, or completely finished my beach vacation pics. My 365 are miss-numbered!! Oh well. This is pretty appropriate for Friday, so I'll catch up today.
At this restaurant, you put your name in, get your own drink, and wait out on the dock for your turn to go in and order.
Trying to imagine life without a sister? It's so weird to think about. I've gone through SO much with my sister, so many memories, of us trying to kill each other, us hiding in bed together because we [well she mostly] were scared of monsters lurking around, our inside jokes [ga-goo! arf! *acting as if I'm running away with pants full of jewelry*] seriously this stuff makes NO SENSE to anybody but us but to this day it never fails to make us burst out giggling, ripping people off [such as our infamous story where we went door to door asking for charity for some church and then we proceeded to spend all the money on candy instead!], coming up with our own sister code style of signing, getting into and out of trouble together, so many tales of tears, laughter, hugs, punching, jealousy, and love, it's endless. It's also especially special when you go through a not so "normal" childhood and you in general feel alone in that experience but then you remember, your sister went through it too and no matter what, your sister will always understand.
I came home from sewing class tonight and messaged my sister [who was at mom's place next door] telling her to come over so we could do our portrait. She came over and told me "so I guess some things just don't change eh?" Apparently I donkey-kicked her in my sleep last night! HAHA! Oops.
