John Fowler 0-4-2 tank (No. 15513 of 1920) was one of many identical locomotives built for the Sena Sugar Estates 2ft gauge railway system in Mozambique. After having spent it's entire working life on the Sena system, it then spent a period lying derelict until around 1998 when a large number of withdrawn Sena engines were brought over to the UK. 15513 was subsequently purchased by a West Lancashire Light Railway member and arrived at the railway in 2000. After several years stored dismantled in a container, restoration finally commenced in the early 2010s.
This photo shows the tanks of 15513 which have been fully restored with new metal welded in where necessary.

On 18th October 2021 I made my second visit to see former Sena Sugar Estates John Fowler 0-4-2 tank (No. 15513 of 1920) which is currently being restored at Johnson's of Banks. I first visited this engine back in 2017 and the photos of that visit can be seen in my West Lancashire Light Railway album. This loco is owned by a member of the West Lancashire Light Railway and is expected to operate there once restoration is complete. Restoration of 15513 is now well advanced and when I visited the engine's frames were being prepared for lowering back onto the wheels. The owner hopes that the loco could be steaming sometime in 2022.
This photo shows an assortment of smaller components for 15513. Most of these smaller items are brand new as the loco was stripped of many things before it left Mozambique.
