Northern 142 049 leaves Earlestown with a Lime St-Manchester Victoria stopper.

The wiring at Earlestown, though not finished, has a much more finished air. Most notably there are a few temporary fixings where there were a lot.

We have tracked this particular view for some time. It now has the settled demeanour of metal mohair.
