cannot keep me
from singing.
Might replace my previous photo with this one for my 52 weeks. It's also making me sick a little bit. So mushy. Let me know, waddayathink? This was taken before the sun came out, it even started raining a bit at one point.
I am posting much more pictures on my tumblr these days.
Update: replaced.

Nearly all my shots are close to home so I made a set and a B side . I am a CBD fringe-dweller
(Explore 13/1/13)
So each day has now become a bit like a treasure hunt . . . you go about your day not knowing what red items you might stumble across, but never do you think you might just stumble across a sea of red gnomes, as we did today.
In actual fact there were no shortage of 'red' items to shoot today. After spending the weekend with us, Chelsea was now also pointing out all of the red photo opportunities she saw too.
Apparently all three of us missed todays memo because it seemed almost every one we passed (and I do mean everyone) was wearing red today . . . red pants, red shoes, red jackets, red hair . . . red everything!
Believe or not we even saw four girls on push bikes dressed in white dresses printed with red strawberries, with baskets on the back of each bike filled with bright red fresh strawberries. A strawberries and cream lolly promotion for a confectionery company apparently!
After taking Lola for a walk along the St.Kilda foreshore and out onto the pier, where we drank coffees from cups with red saucers at a cafe that had red lights and red doors . . . we spotted the sea of gnomes and the next minute we knew we were queuing up for one.
The promotion was "Give a gnome a home" . . . you lined up, got to choose a gnome to take home (for free) . . . then you have to take a photo of your gnome in it's new home and upload it for your chance to win one of five $1000 vouchers from a big department store here.
I already had numerous 'red' potentials in hand, but you can imagine my delight when we stumbled across this sea of red gnomes!
Great day! great find!
Also a big, big thank you to everyone who has visited and commented on my stream over the past few days, it really means a lot to me and I am so very thrilled and delighted! It's been a crazy weekend and if I haven't already, I will get to all your streams over the next couple of days :)
There are several of us working on a 365 project, and if you'd like to follow along, here are links to the others:

#271/365 So yesterday my friend Lisa aka Your Coffee gave me a challenge. That challenge was to take a photo at 1:11pm. In all honesty I forgot at that time (I was eating lunch with the kids). When I did remember I was watching my wife shop for some new trainers. So here you go....a department store's shoe section in a sea of fluorescent lights!

If you drive north out of Monument Valley into Utah, and stop at mile marker 13 and turn around, this is what you see.
Simply amazing country out here.
Five exposure HDR while standing in the middle of the road(You can hear the cars coming a half-mile away).
Cheers to Fridays and weekends!

This is a great entry-level single malt. While I've only had a special cask strength bottling of a younger Craigellachie before, this release hits all the right notes and while the smoke wasn't very present during the dram its still very complex for its age. Definitely, a must try!
Final Score: 85/100

Betina (Stranger 13, round 3).
Line 25 is the longest tram line in Rotterdam that starts in the north (Schiebroek district) and runs through the center and over the Maas (Erasmusbrug) through Rotterdam-Zuid and goes past the Breeplein towards Barendrecht (the Vinex district Carnisselanden). Along the way you will see a wide variety of buildings, from luxurious detached houses to dilapidated post-war high-rise buildings. In the tram you meet the mix of cultures that Rotterdam is rich. One afternoon I spoke to people from many countries: Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, a Surinamese Hindustani who speaks flat Rotterdam and a man from Curacao (who was looking for a rich woman). And of course the Rotterdammers themselves. I'm investigating whether this could be a subject for a photo project. Betina was waiting at the tram stop and what struck me was the combination of clothing, hair color and her large glasses. Betina is from Brazil and speaks some English. I asked her what brought her to Rotterdam. She said that she studies fashion design at the Willem de Koning academy (hence her appearance) and by the way I think love also plays a role in the background. Of course I was allowed to take a picture. Thank you Betina.

Abell 13 (A66 13, PK 204-08 1, G204.0-08.5 and others) is a planetary nebula located approximately 3,900 light-years away in Orion. Others have observed that this one doesn’t appear to have an OIII component. Other images in Ha tend to not show more detail that I picked up with LRGB.
