Natural light, shining through the window bouncing off tile floors gave some nice ambiance for this plate of worm spaghetti. For the record, no worms were harmed in the making of this photograph.

All those little squares on this artwork are mirrors all facing angles and is quite a sight to see but without a wide angle lens there is no way to capture what the eye sees...but very interesting concept.

Quarantine Day 116. The first rule of Arm Wrestling Club is: There is no Arm Wrestling Club.

----

Obviously, this was tricky on the compositing side.

I shot this with a stand in for the opposing arm wrestler (my oh-so-patient wife), to try and get the arms lined up appropriately. This was complicated by the fact that I'm a good foot taller than my wife. The rest of the individual shots were done trying to find available space around the two wrestlers, which meant that there were a lot more overlaps here requiring me to tweak masks.

I tried going for a slightly cross-processed look, but since I don't have lots of shadow areas I don't think it works quite as well as I'd like. I also decided to actually let DoF happen in this one; again, while I think it worked the way I intended, but I don't really think it adds anything to the shot (and made some of the masks that much trickier to get right.)

Just as there are not as many actual Dennises as pictured Dennises, there is also nowhere near that much cash in the house.

I don't think this photo is that great, but oh well. lol.

Today was a pretty fun day. I had a band concert this afternoon! We played some awesome pieces including a piece by one of my favorite symphonic lit composers, Frank Ticheli :) I had a bassoon solo in it! Then later on in the evening one of my fraternity brothers had this AMAZING piano recital and my mind was blown.

btw, for anyone who has a print exchange/print giveaway going on with me right now, I'm ordering prints tonight! I'm SO sorry I've been slacking on this ... ><

If I tagged you, that means that I JUST ordered your prints :) Be excited!

This is Bradgate Park in Leicestershire on a Saturday. The car park was packed. There is a single track road all the way through the park and most people tend to stroll along it, but just walk off into the hills and you've got the place pretty much to yourself. A lovely place to go at any time of the year. This is the Deer Barn cafe half way along the road.

Update Wednesday 15-03-2017: The helicopter's black box (Cockpit Voice and Data Recorder (CVDR)) may have been located close to the Blackrock Lighthouse. It could be recovered within the next few days.

Update Monday 20-03-2017: Irish Air Accident Investigation Unit report it is very likely Irish Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 116 impacted Blackrock island resulting in the the aircraft's tail rotor making contact with an outhouse adjacent to the island's lighthouse. It seems certain that the main portion of the fuselage is on the seabed at a depth of 40m on the southeast part of the rock. Strong Atlantic swell and sea surges will hamper recovery of the fuselage.

Update Friday 24-03-2017: The helicopter's digital Black Box (Cockpit Voice and Data Recorder (CVDR)) has been recovered from the seabed 80 metres from Blackrock Island.

An initial Irish Air Accident Investigation Unit report states that the crash of Sikorsky S93A EI-ICR Rescue 116 was not caused by mechanical error. However, an RTE television Prime Time report suggests that the helicopter's Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System software did not contain data regarding the existence of Blackrock Island. www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/prime-time-extras-30003379/1070...
