Lake Reflections....
Last week Thursday was truly a beautiful sunny day for a hike; the temperature was in the high seventies with little or no wind.
The water on the lake was mostly calm and the trees reflected beautifully in it; every now and then the wind would stir the water and erase the reflections. it was magical to watch.

Mit einem Schiebewandwagenzug war diese Re 10/10 am Anfang der Gotthard Nordrampe unterwegs bei Erstfeld. Aufgenommen wurde der Zug einen Tag vor Weihnachten.

Passage à Silenen de ce convoi postal faisant route vers le Canton du Tessin, et tracté par la Re4/4II 11254, qui se mesure à la rampe nord du Gotthard.

Alors que les ombres envahissent progressivement la vallée, la Re4/4II 11254 descend la rampe nord du Gotthard en tête du seul train postal diurne de la ligne. Le convoi est photographié sur le deuxième pallier de Wassen le 8 Août 2016.
Einer der wenigen Güterzüge, welche wegen der Störung im Basistunnel via Bergstrecke umgeleitet wurden war der bunt gemischte Zug des WLV aus Basel nach Brig, hier mit den Lokomotiven Re4/4 II 11254 + Re6/6 11684 auf dem Luogelkinviadukt (Hohtenn, 21.06.2017).

Etwas übertraktioniert scheint dieser Nahgüterzug mit einem Rigips-Leerwagen aus Heimberg nach Leissigbad: an der Spitze befinden sich die Re4/4 III 11351 + Re4/4 II 11254 (Einigen, 17.03.2017).

Poland, the castle in Reszel, built between 1350 and 1401, was owned by Warmia Bishops, as were the castles in Orneta, Lidzbark Warmiński, Jeziorany and Braniewo. It was captured by Polish, Teutonic and Prussian armies. After the third partition of Poland, the castle was transformed into a prison. In 1807, when the castle was approached by Napoleon's army, the prisoners set fire to the building. In 1820, the ruins of the castle were given to an evangelical community. Renovations carried out at the time erased some of its medieval character.

Zamek w Reszlu wybudowany w latach 1350-1401 należał do Biskupów Warmińskich, podobnie jak zamki w Ornecie, Lidzbarku Warmińskim, Jezioranach i Braniewie. Był zdobywany przez wojska polskie, krzyżackie i pruskie. Po trzecim rozbiorze Polski zamek przekształcono w więzienie. W 1807 roku, gdy do zamku zbliżały się wojska napoleońskie więźniowie podpalili zamek. W latach 20-tych XIX wieku riuny zamku przekazano gminie ewangelickiej. Przeprowadzone wtedy remonty zatarły nieco jego średniowieczny charakter.

The theme for this week (on August 19) is "Things with Teeth" (NO animals or humans!).
Looks like Stagecoach Manchester E400 MMC 11254 (SN69ZFO) spent the week at various locations across the country promoting awareness about cancer.
It’s seen here leaving the pedestrianised bit outside Stratford Station.
Presumably it will stay in this wrap once it returns to Manchester.

The real “thank you” goes out to all of you who have viewed, commented and added my barn shots as favorites over the past few years. I think they still rate pretty high in the rankings on Flickr if you do a search for “barn” even though a a good friend has eclipsed me in barn popularity. But because of this, I had a photo recently discovered and purchased by a large publisher as the cover for a new book called Draw the Dark by Ilsa J. Bick. I got my copy in the mail two days ago after giving them permission to edit the photo for the cover. (below)
So thank you all for all your kind words, funny stories, sharing your life and emotions with me. I’ll continue to do the same.
I'm leaving tomorrow for Victoria, Canada to photograph Amy's wedding and won't be bringing my laptop with me. I'm so blessed that she asked me to travel up there to spend and capture their special day together! See you soon!

Vanuit Erstfeld werd vervolgens naar Silenen gereden, waar als eerste de 11625 en 11254 passeren met een sleep Faccns'en. Als trein 67767 is het geheel onderweg van Hüntwangen-Wil naar Sigirino op 7 juli 2016

Im Nachmittagslicht des Tages kam dann noch der Postzug mit der Re 4/4 11254 und 4 Wagen auf dem Weg ins Tessin an uns vorbeigefahren, während sich am Himmel scheinbar ein Gewitter langsam bildete
In the afternoon light we could even spot the post train with the Re 4/4 11254 on the way to Ticino, while seemingly formed slowly a big cloud in the sky
