My original intent for this day was to chase 23M west with the NS 1069 (Virginian HU) on the point. However, by the time I had gotten to Harrisburg, 23M was already half an hour ahead of me. Upset and just looking to kill an hour or so, I decided to head a little further west to Port Royal.
In the back of my mind I knew that the 62V had 8102 leading, but wasn't expecting it to show. Last week I had gotten burned waiting for 62V to come east because it had gotten held up in Altoona due to track work around Antis. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I heard clear as day on the scanner, "62V Clear Mifflin". I couldn't believe it. And now I can proudly say that I can check this shot off my photography bucket list!

Deze lijn is enkelsporig en wordt voornamelijk gebruikt door de sneltreinen naar Hradec Králové en Trutnov vanuit Praha. Helaas was er weinig goederenverkeer maar wel kwam museumlocomotief T669.1069 voorbij met een ketelwagen vlak voor het stationnetje van Dobšice nad Cidlinou. 26.4.2022
Western Vanguard rolls through Newton Abbot with an unknown Class 47 lurking in the background. This was taken while on a West of England rail-rover in 1975 where one of the challenges was waking up and getting off the London bound over night train to connect with the down one. Oddly enough, not once did we all oversleep and end up in London.
The state of 1069 is best described as scruffy and this is one of several photos that had defied being restored to some sort of decent image. Then came along a programme which had a magic touch and it is now in some semblence of quality. It took 3 stages to get it light enough. Not surprisingly it was one that was not good enough to post until all the tweaking that took place.

Phewa Lake, Phewa Tal or Fewa Lake is a freshwater lake in Nepal formerly called Baidam Tal located in the south of the Pokhara Valley that includes Pokhara city; parts of Sarangkot and Kaskikot. The lake is stream-fed but a dam regulates the water reserves, therefore, the lake is classified as semi-natural freshwater lake. It is the second largest lake in Nepal; the largest in Gandaki Pradesh after the Rara lake in the comparison to Nepal's water bodies. It is the most popular and most visited lake of Nepal. It is the only lake in Nepal to have a templeTal Barahi Temple at the central part of lake. Phewa lake is located at an altitude of 742 m (2,434 ft) and covers an area of about 4.43 km2 (1.7 sq mi). It has an average depth of about 8.6 m (28 ft) and a maximum depth of 24 m (79 ft). Maximum water capacity of the lake is approximately 43,000,000 cubic metres (35,000 acre⋅ft). The Annapurna range on the north is only about 28 km (linear distance) away from the lake. The lake is also famous for the reflection of mount Machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on its surface. The Tal Barahi Temple is situated on an island in the lake.

NS #1069 leads NS H70 through Suffern Station, bypassing Hillburn for its eventual arrival in Campbell Hall. The #1069 is apart of Norfolk Southern’s heritage fleet and was recently refurbished after around 10 years of wear and tear on the original coat.
NS 1069 the Virginian Heritage Unit leads CPKC train 929 through Westport, NY with the mountains of Vermont in the background.
At the colonies just beyond London Road Volvo B8L / Enviro 400 XLB number 1169 (SJ19 OWC) is seen on a Service 26 approaching Meadowbank.

Just as the sun pops behind a cloud Volvo B8L / Enviro 400XLB number 1069 (SJ19 OWC) storms pass Pentland Gardens at Fairmilehead... and just down there to the left, baby Stuart lived for a few years, a long time ago!
It's great fun having dual doors back again and I have noticed the youngsters of the day enjoying the same as we did back in the late 1960's. There's a far more important reason for having an exit door and here's a quote from an accountant for Western Welsh who said "‘time at stops is not time earning revenue".
