Grangemouth MPD: standing next to the fuelling point 04/09/1971.

6107 was part of a class of 58 locos built by NBL in 1959/60 with 1000hp MAN power units classified as Class 21. 07 was one of 20 of the class re-engined with 1350hp Paxman units and reclassified as Class 29. All unmodified Class 21 locos had been withdrawn by 1968 but Class 29 lasted until 1971. 6107 was withdrawn in Oct 71.

Just visible is the nose of another of the class 6113.

Motor Luggage Vans 9002 and 9001 have just attached to the front of green liveried heritage 4-EPB unit 5001 in readiness to traverse the end of the line beyond Folkestone Harbour station onto the non electrified pier. The train is SEG/BR-NSE (Southern Electric Group / BR Network South-East) charter special 2Z40 11.15 Ashford to Folkestone Harbour Pier and return the 'Emerald Water Witch' railtour. The 1000hp 750v DC MLV's also had a battery traction supply for working into non electrified sidings. They were generally to be found on Boat Trains to and from Dover and Folkestone to London Victoria before use in later years as mail van units. The battery traction was used to access Folkestone Harbour Pier where luggage could be craned onto the boat easier and the same at Dover Marine where non electrified tracks ran along the quayside outside of the station trainshed.

The Sunbeam 1000hp Mystery, or "The Slug", is a land speed record-breaking car built that was powered by two aircraft engines. It was the first car to travel at over 200 mph. The car's last run was a demonstration circuit at Brooklands. The car is now on display at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.

The Sunbeam 1000hp was the first non-American car to run on Daytona Beach for a land speed record attempt. On 29th March 1927, Henry Segrave drove the car to a new land speed record of 203.79 miles per hour (327.97 km/h), the first car to reach a speed over 200 mph (320 km/h).

Normally the bankers detach on the fly at this location, but stayed on this train right down to Murrurrundi.

I typically don't upload the majority of the photos from a photo shoot, but I'm very happy with the results of this shoot! Big thanks to the amazing model Halie Gibbs, and the owner of this amazing Lamborghini Balloon White Viper SRT10 with over 1000HP. It will be Twin Turbo'd over the winter and will be over 1,500HP. All performance modifications are done by Dallas Performance.

This photo shoot is for Secret Entourage. It will be released in full in conjunction with the launch of their new website design and image overhaul!

This photo shoot and Viper is also sponsored by ADV.1 Wheels and DTA + Rogue Status — if you haven't already heard of these awesome companies, check 'em out.

Carrying the obsolete LASER (London & South East Railway) 'Jaffa Cake' livery tractor unit 081 (cars DB 977397+DB 977398) is seen in the sidings at Stewarts Lane Depot, Batteresa. This former class 411/3 4-car EMU set was originally set 7153 and was a prototype for refurbishment of the entire class 410 and 411 EMU fleets in the late 1970's. The unit was rebuilt in 1976 at Eastleigh Works and emerged with a totally modernised interior in total contrast to the other class members which largely resembled standard Mk1 hauled stock. It will always be remembered for its "1970's interior" which featured lots of Formica panels, fake wood veneer and lurid green seats with orange curtains in second class.

To conform to TOPS numbering it was renumbered from 7153 to 1500 in November 1985 (thus set 411 500). Overhaul of the rest of the fleet was subsequently carried out off region at Swindon BREL Works to a different standard with double glazing and hopper vent windows plus a different configuration within the brake coach. The Swindon rebuilds were designated class 411/4 or 411/5 dependent on their electrical status as either 1951 or 1957 stock. So 7153 or 1500 as it became was something of a 'one off'. Because of its non conformist nature it only lasted in traffic until January 1990 when it was withdrawn. With nothing mechanically wrong with the unit departmental service beckoned and the BR CM&EE department took it on as a 1000hp tractor unit. They renumbered it 081 in May 1990 (effectively 931 081 but in standard BR-SR practice just the set number and not the class was applied).

The 2-car unit was available to haul test coaches or de-icing trailers as required and often operated with sister tractor unit 080 which was 2 spare class 411/5 motor coaches rebuilt at Swindon from class 411/2 sets 7102 and 7130 which were both accident damage victims that had lost trailer cars. 081 could also be used as a depot pilot to shunt defective stock. It was withdrawn prior to privatisation and was broken up at M.C. Metals in Glasgow in January 1996.

Goodwood: Festival of Speed

Here we are at North Western's Cedar Lake Yard in Minneapolis, formerly M&StL. The 1037, a Baldwin VO1000 switcher rebuilt by EMD in February of 1957 with a 12-567 rated at 1000HP, is handling a string of cabooses including 11035 and 11182, the other two I cannot make out, of two different designs. Also noteworthy is the standard 40' box with yellow lettering, a Clinton rebuild of 7-66. As is the case with many of my shots of this era - everything is gone except for a single track through here used by the TC&W. October 21 1970.

The Imperial Lego Air Force rearmament program is almost completed. Therefore, I have started to build the “Historic” aircrafts, bombers, fighters and so on.

The camouflage will receive some modifications later to correct some mistakes.

The VL-120 Evrae Heavy Bomber made its first flight in 1137 and entered service in 1138 (Imperial Calendar). At the time, it was by far the fastest 4-engine strategic bomber in the world; however, it was also the smallest and carried a bomb-load of just 2000kg, comparable to medium, not heavy bombers.

It was however fitted with an extremely powerful 20 mm auto-cannon on the nose (used for anti-ship and bomber destroyer missions) and four defensive 7,62mm light machine guns; it could also carry two 533mm anti-ship torpedoes, depth charges or mines.

For a very short period of time, it was one of the most modern planes in the world, being mostly used for oceanic patrols and anti-ship missions.

The “Evrae” had a relatively brief operational career as a bomber, being relegated to second line duties from 1142 onwards when other four and six-engined bombers took over its role.

The plane is based on the Dutch Fokker T.V design, equipped with four inline engines. Evrae is also the name of the Dragon who defended Bevelle on the Final Fantasy X game. Next step is a four engine bomber (or even a six engine) :D

Hope you like it!

Class 419 Motor Luggage Van no. S68005 leads a standard boat train formation for the period of 1xMLV 3x4-CEP EMU's through Beckenham Junction. The 13-car train is 1C52 the 13.40 Dover Western Docks to London Victoria taking 1hr 27mins to reach the capital non stop. The dedicated Boat Trains were always non stop between the Channel ports and London Victoria and catered for the high demand for foot passenger traffic before the advent of cheap airlines. British Rail had built 10 class 419 MLV's for use on these trains in two batches between 1959-61. They were 1000hp 750v DC units but were also fitted with traction batteries to work into non electrified sidings. At the port ends this allowed them to use Folkestone Harbour Pier and quayside tracks at Dover Marine. By the late 1980's Boat Train traffic was in decline with ever shortening formations and from 1988 onward the units started to be used by the BR parcels sector for royal mail and red star parcels traffic. In turn that traffic ceased and from the early 1990's the 10 strong fleet of MLV's were relegated to use as tractor units at depots before ultimately being withdrawn.

Between Razlog and Bansko is a fairly steep climb that makes the little engines work hard even with just 4 coaches. Here 1988 Romanian built (1988-FAUR-Bucharest) diesel hydraulic 77002 uses all its 1000hp on the approach to Bansko with 12:25 from Septemvri on 23rd May 2019

Beaulieu Listeni/ˈbjuːli/ is a small village located on the south eastern edge of the New Forest national park in Hampshire, England, and home to both Palace House and the British National Motor Museum.

The village is also home to the British National Motor Museum.

The museum was opened in 1952 as the Montagu Motor Museum and became a charitable trust in 1972. It contains an important collection of historic motor vehicles, including four world land speed record holders:

Sir Malcolm Campbell's 1924 Blue-Bird and

His son Donald Campbell's 1964 Bluebird CN7,

The 1927 Sunbeam 1000HP (the first motor car to reach 200 miles per hour (322 km/h))

The 1929 Irving-Napier Special 'Golden Arrow'.

The last two were both driven by Major Henry Segrave.

A Corus Trojan locomotive No.923 hauls a loaded rake of steel coil out of Tata's Port Talbot works enroute to Margam Yard. After handing over to a DB Cargo locomotive, the coils went forward to Tata's plant at Hartlepool.

The 4 1000hp B-B engines of this type were built by Corus in 2008, with assembly taking place at Corus's site at Scunthorpe. Subsequently the engines were re-engineered by Hunslet.

The picturesque Beaulieu village sits on the southern bank of the Beaulieu River, at the head of the tidal section of the river.

It's one of the New Forest's smallest but busiest villages, and is home to the National Park's most popular attraction, the National Motor Museum, Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey. Collectively this trio is just called Beaulieu.

Beaulieu village is little more than a single street of red brick houses, some tiny boutiques and village shops, and the Montagu Arms Hotel and pub, but its charm attracts many visitors.

The village is also home to the British National Motor Museum.

With that previous lengthy photo description, time for another short one. This is an area of the back wall where packaged meats currently resides (and probably will continue to stay, though no telling what Kroger has planned really)! This upper wall, and the entire store for that matter, were still awaiting the rest of the fresh and local décor to be glued up all over the place :P And nope, not a song title, but certainly a band reference - close enough for more music!
