This piece of art - entitled "The 100 Foot Line" stands behind the National Gallery of Canada on what is known as Nepean Point... a popular spot in Ottawa.

Crucifix Orchid (Epidendrum ibaguense)

For my 100 Flowers Project - 2023

Kath had asked me to shift some flowerpots on her back deck, while there I noticed her Crucifix * Orchid in flower and said I would come back with the camera to take a photo. Kath then broke off a stem, telling me to pot it and it will grow. So now I have a Crucifix * Orchid - hopefully it will thrive.

* Fire-star Orchid and Rainbow Orchid are other common names this flower is known as.

Yesterday I posted an image of the flowers of a Little Kurrajong Tree. These are the flowers of the Kurrajong tree. Another council planting, just a bit further along our street.

All of Colin's Lilies are coming into bloom. This one, in particular, caught my eye.

Mit der Eröffnung der Marschbahn bis Niebüll erhielt auch die Gemeinde Stedesand ihren Anschluss an die große weite Welt.

100 Jahre sollte das so bleiben bis der Verkehrshalt zum 31.05.1987 aufgelassen wurde.
