The FAB 1 used in the 2004 film was based on a Ford Thunderbird and the entire canopy was hinged up and aft to allow entry into the car. The version used in the original series had odd downwards hinged doors and the roof had side panels that could hinge upwards instead, which I replicated on my model.
“Armed with the sharpie markers I had at my disposal, I slowly covered the bunker in my little drawings. Dad kept going out on searches, I kept to my hobbies. Days went by, holidays past, and the years melded together. But…one day…that day, we were really woken up to what was really waiting on the outside…”

1/365. it's been 5 years. don't know if I can still do this. but I'm game. helped me a lot the last time, so who knows, this might just be the thing that gets me going again. :) Retro 365
Here is my lovely Olympus OM-1.
I used to have a nice Pentax Super ME, that i got at college. It sat in a draw for 10 years, and when i got my digital i sold it thinking, why would i need a film SLR?
Then six moths later i really wanted a film SLR. typical. I got this camera because of a photographer called Jane Bown. She uses old equipment and natural lights, and it taught me that its not about the equipment.
What i like about the OM-1, is that its so basic, every thing is manual and you don;t even need batteries to shot with this thing. i feel that it takes me back to the fundamentals of photography, the pictures have a warmth that i don;t get with digital and it is such a joy to shoot with!
#1 for this year, anyway. I enjoy making these succulent dish gardens, or "succulent pizzas". I plant them in terra cotta saucers of various sizes, mounding the soil up several inches and using rocks here and there to help hold everything in place. I experimented with a bottle in this one... a little "found art" if you will. (I'm obsessed with glass bottles this year, so until I get my bottle tree up, I'm finding other ways to use them.)
Vanmiddag rond half vijf kwam deze 203-1 met een werktreintje terug bij de thuisbasis Volker Rail aan de Donker Duyvisweg in het Dordtse Zeehavengebied.
Days 1 to 365, in order. 5 days short the 365 day target (4 went "missing" and 2 got accidentally merged into 1) but it'll do. Final Furby count: 17
I find it fascinating to see it all in one go like this. Went a bit drab in the middle there, but then seemed to brighten up near the end. I also seem to have a strange obsession with circles for some reason...
crazy and colorful
Love those two words
Yep, another 52wk project, this one is going to be more of an equipment/out of norm/not so hard on myself project...
Not much portrait, very little studio lights, minimal human subjects, abuse the hell out of my Nikon V1 and my 50mm 1.4G...
Happy New Year
now excuse me while I go unpack and do laundry from an awesome family trip I made back home to Trinidad...
Introduced at Photokina in Cologne Germany in 1972 the M-1 was the first in what we now refer to as the Olympus full frame OM line. As a transition model the Olympus FTL was their first full frame SLR, but it was just that and it has been thought that it was outsourced rather than built in the Olympus factories. Thirteen years earlier, the release of the Nikon F had made the 35 mm SLR the standard choice for professionals accustomed to Leica and other rangefinders, but it had driven the market towards heavy and bulky cameras. The Olympus M-1 changed this and with it began a reduction of size, weight and noise of the 35 mm SLRs. It was designed by a team led by Yoshihisa Maitani, who had already created the Pen and Pen F cameras, noted for their compactness.
Since Leica's flagship rangefinder cameras are known as the M Series, Leica complained about the name of the M-1, forcing Olympus to rename it as the OM-1 to further clarify between the brands. Because of this, today bodies and lenses with the original M name are rare (5000 bodies were made according to Olympus) and sought after by collectors.

Özlem Abay - 2011/Kasım
So, I recently came out with a list of my Top 10 personal favourite pics of 2011. Having bought my first DSLR in Dec 2010, I've taken quite a lot of pictures throughout the year. My pictures are not fantastic, but I am working my way to improve in both my technical skills as well as post-processing.
This particular picture is #1 in my Top 10. I traveled down south to Johor with the Blue Jackets on a Shell Helix 2011 Invasion Tour, and this SuperVeloce was a surprise turn-out (owner was invited to drive his GT-R, but showed up with this instead). I contemplated including a picture of the matte Smurf Blue Audi R8 by Exotic Mods in the Top 10 list, but there was no space, so this was the best I could do to include it!
Find out what my 9 other favourites were here.
Thank you very much for all your comments and faves so far; I look forward to more exciting things in 2012!

Brant and Maddox made their way up the barren slopes of the nameless mountain. Although the slopes, dotted here and there with trees and bushes, where far less barren than they had seemed from afar; there was still a profound sense of emptiness about the cliffs. Still the two men plodded on, watching the ground before their feet rather than the trail ahead. And so it was a total surprise when a voice spoke just above them.
“Well, well what have we here?”
Brant looked up to see a Platin General flanked by a score of Platin soldiers.
“You must be Brant Hostson of Breakwater,” the general continued. “We had word that you sought the Pantheon Blade as well but I hardly expected you to get this far.” The man chuckled and looked to the enormously long, curving blade he held. “As you can see you’re too late.”
Brant stared in disbelief at the golden sword. He knew instinctively that it was the Pantheon Blade. The power that emanated from the weapon caused him to take an involuntary step backwards.
The general laughed, “You might as well just turn around and go hide in your pitiful towers until we come to knock them down. With the Pantheon Blade there is nothing that can stop us!”
As if to prove his point he swept the giant blade back and forth with deceptive ease the power of the blade sending Brant back a couple more steps.
“Now step aside!”
Brant face showed his inner struggle. On one hand he saw the obvious power of the blade. He knew beyond doubt there was no winning against such a powerful weapon. Then thoughts of his slain men assaulted him; all those who had given their lives to get this far. Their sacrifice must not be in vain. Finally thoughts of the Platin conquest that was to come assailed him. Images of Lord Ryker and Breakwater Keep laid low played in his mind. The strain of the past weeks caught up to him suddenly and he broke.
Brant crumpled to the stone, dry sobs racking his defeated form. Maddox rushed to his lord, dropping to his knees beside the man he had seen as a bastion of strength for so long finally brought low.
The general sneered and gestured to the two Draconians. “Bind their hands and bring them.” He ordered. “They must have a ship on the coast. Kilen inform our transportation to set sail for Dragswood immediately. We shall join them there and bring that nation low before we march on Draconia.”
As his weapons were taken and hi hands bound Maddox knew the same despair that had defeated Brant Hostson, Lord Defender of Breakwater.
I thought this was a cleaver plot twist although it originated because of my inability to reproduce Ryke's Temple in mini-fig scale: www.flickr.com/photos/74496431@N03/8953979254/ Unfortunate as that may be this has inspired an entirely new direction for the story which I'm finding much more interesting! Stay tuned for more!
