As usual with reflective tape and logos. Custom chromed parts for the compartment door handles and the grille. Really hope you like this new beast. I'm very proud on how the design turned out, especially of the cab.

On the "Golden State Route", 274 miles west of Kansas City, Kansas, Rock Island's westbound freight #1 arrives at 1806 behind SP SD45, SP U33c, U33c, two more units (SP8832-SP8748-191- ? - ? - 257.) The train has stopped here to change crews, as a crew would take this train from Herington (where the Texas Gulf route splits off to go south) to Pratt, and another would take it from here to Liberal. The route was single track - from Herington, where double track from the east ended - and governed by timetable and train order while Automatic Block Signals provided protection. Timetable speed was 60mph, and trains did move along with it. During the TRAINS Magazine speed surveys of the '60s, Rock Island consistently racked up some of the highest speeds in the survey while out in this country, and I've no doubt that 60mph was considered to be "just a suggestion." Sadly, by this time the track was becoming more and more affected by the Rock's financial condition and the deterioration had set in…but I think that many crews were still trying to live the Glory Days, just as I saw on the Texas Gulf main. With Espee supplying power like this, who could blame them?

Chapter 1 - Episode 5
Location: Urban Sector - Forgotten Alleyway, World of Ruin
Xerith was far from the jungles and swamps of her homeland, sent on a scouting mission, a fool’s errand in her mind, into the heart of the Urban Sector. This was the first time she had walked these crumbling streets, old and ravaged by time. Xerith was conditioned from a young age to never venture beyond the city limits. She grew up on stories that told of brave wanderers who entered the forgotten city, and never returned. This only served to peak her curiosity. She would sit alone in the treetops, dreaming of the day she could see it, walk among its people, and plunder its secrets. One day, her wish came true. Her clan was desperate for supplies and alternative sources of power, a rare commodity in the Cursed Marches, at the end of the world. Xerith was well trained, for a thief. Her cloaking technology allowed her to remain unseen as she traversed the broken landscapes of the Urban Sector, twin pistols at her side. When she finally arrived, Xerith couldn’t help but think; this was not the city she had imagined in her youth. It was much worse.
Settlements were sparse, and didn’t take kindly to her presence. Life was harsh for these Wanderers, every day a struggle for survival. She found no allies here and quite frankly, there was nothing to steal, nothing to plunder. It didn’t take long for Xerith to discover that it was safer to travel under the cover of darkness, as brutish creatures with green skin scavenged the remains during the daylight hours. She had never seen the likes of these creatures before. What were they? Where did they come from? Their armor was strong, and they had an equally strong distaste for Wanderers, like her. Still, she could cover a lot of ground, moving silently among the toppling buildings and decaying roadways.
She was alone. Until one day, a chance meeting, she came across another lone Wanderer, much like herself. For reasons she can’t explain, something drew Xerith to him. He carried with him a single long rifle, and seemed well versed in surviving here. Had he always lived in the Urban Sector? She was intrigued, but feared revealing her intentions to him. Instead, she decided it was best to tail him; perhaps this lone Wanderer could lead her to fulfilling her mission. She stayed close to him, remaining cloaked at all times. He always wandered alone, and stayed away from large settlements. She quickly developed a feeling of safety, knowing she wasn’t alone anymore. On several occasions, Xerith would awaken to the sounds of him stirring in his sleep. It was almost as if, he was talking to someone, in his dreams. Whatever the case, this Wanderer was highly skilled with his weapon and knew how to evade the green-skinned ones. She witnessed it firsthand not long ago. Xerith was unsure if this Wanderer knew where he was going, or if he simply walked along, hoping to find something, or someone. But this day, this day felt different.
The lone Wanderer walked down a faintly lit alleyway. She uncloaked and peered around the corner, a broken structure obscured her from view. The Wanderer took cover; a fully armored green-skin was repairing some kind of old world motor bike. At last. Xerith saw an opportunity, a wealth of supplies just waiting to be plundered. The green-skin would make this task quite difficult, however. She noticed the Wanderer cocking his long rifle, and positioning himself to take the shot. How, she thought to herself. She thought him foolish, the green-skin was armored to the teeth; she failed to see how he was going to.... CRACK! The sound of a bullet whipping through the air forced her to the ground. She looked up in time to see the green-skin’s head nearly disintegrate before her eyes. The bullet met its target, who fell to ground, dead. She had never seen a shot so skilled. A great feeling of respect came over her, who was this Wanderer?
Xerith watched in utter disbelief as the Wanderer claimed his prize, so easily. He must have wanted the motor bike badly enough to risk open conflict with a green-skinned one. She watched as the Wanderer replaced some parts on the motor bike, and then retired inside one of the crumbling stalls, lit by a single burning torch. She waiting for him to fall asleep, and then began scavenging the alleyway. She was interrupted only once, in the middle of the night, by the sounds of his voice. He stirred, dreaming, she couldn’t help but notice that there was something familiar about this. Was he having the same dream, over and over again?

To be continued....
I read many articles that mention the golden ratio and the golden section but they all normally refer to the PHI rectangle. There is so much more to learn about the golden section than just PHI. I thought I'd share one of the grids I use for my art. This is a 1.5 golden section rectangle (a square and a half) which contains two overlapping root four rectangles which are themselves double squares. The red lines indicate what is known as the rubated square or "St. Andrews Cross" I love the geometry of this rectangle.
Henry Heywood, aka Commander Steel is having a quiet night at his home. Henry was part of the original line-up Doctor Fate put together of the JSA during the cold war. He has been considering retirement for a while, but he loves fighting for his country as Commander Steel. His son Hank is currently a high ranking member of A.R.G.U.S. as Sarge Steel, paying homage to his father, and his grandson Nate recently received powers during a small accident at S.T.A.R. Labs. Henry is facetiming with Nate... at least he's trying to.
Nate: "Grandpa, turn your camera on. That way I can see you."
Henry: "Son of a- I don't understand this technology. If you would just come over more often."
Nate: "Funny grandpa. I will visit tomorrow. I've been struggling with these powers as of late."
Henry: "You could ask any of the other children of JSA members. You have already met Jessie. They can help you deal with those powers."
Nate: "Speed, werecat, light powers, nuclear powers, time based powers, shadow powers or lantern powers? They wouldn't know how to deal with powers that turn me into steel."
Henry: "They can still help you with coping with it. They can help you controlling them."
Nate: "Guess you're right grandpa. I'll seek them out."
Henry: "Good my boy. Maybe we can-"
But before Henry can finish his sentence he hears a noice and the lights fall out.
Nate: "What grandpa?"
Henry: "I gotta go Nate."
Nate: "Oh. Okay grandpa. I'll visit tomorrow!"
Nate ends the call and Henry puts down his phone. He grabs a kitchen knife and he walks towards his dining room.
Henry: "If anyone is there, don't bother hiding. I'll find you, so face me like a man!"
It stays quiet. Henry walks back to the living room where his suit is on display, grabbing the phone while heading there. He turns his JSA alarm on, but before he can confirm the alarm he gets hit in the head. He turns around and gets punched in the face again, dropping his knife. Henry looks up and a figure is grabbing the kitchen knife.
Henry: "Coward! Staying in the darkness. Show me who ypu are!"
The figure steps into the moonlight which is shining through a window, and he reveals himself to be Sportsmaster.
Henry: "Sportsmaster."
Sports: "Hello Commander."
Henry: "Get out of my house!",
Henry gets up and hits Sportsmaster in the face. He retaliates by punching Henry in the gut and shoving him on the ground. Sportsmaster kicks Henry in the face while he's down and he coughs up blood.
Sports: "Hm. I guess fractured ribs, perhaps a punctioned lung? Hehe. Well, Commander, I had always respect for you. I really did. This is just business. I get paid a lot of money for this. Not that I'm sorry. One less hero to care about."
Henry: *cough* "You were hired?" *cough cough* "Tell me.. Please... Let me die while knowing who wanted to."
Sportsmaster leans in and whispers it into Henry's ear. His eyes widen.
Henry: "No... It can't be."
Sports: "Yes it is."
Sportsmaster grabs Henry by his shirt and he throws him on the table. He grabs the kitchen knive and he holds Henry down. Henry quickly grabs his phone while Sportsmaster grabs the knife, and he confirms the alarm. Sportsmaster holds the knife up and throws the phone away.
Sports: "One down. This is just the beginning."
Sportsmaster brings the knife down on Henry's body multiple times, killing him in the process, while the alarm reaches the JSA HQ.

Technically an older picture for #NoShameSunday - around a month now - but my camera is currently out of commission and either temporarily - or permanently DX - broken so it will have to do.

Middle name? Technically Mitchell but I also claim my original one of Richard
Believe in love at first sight? LOVE IS A LIE
I'm kidding. Well, half kidding. Love is too important to simply bass off of appearance/a first sighting. Real life doesn't work out like Dharma & Greg most of the time so Lust? Yes. But not love.
Allergies? Several dozen.
Addiction? I'm sure non doll hobbyists would say those but not the case :D
Typical weekend? Laundry, Grocery run, relaxing
Fave serial killer? Me, although I don't often have cold breakfasts anymore.....

What is your favorite movie?
Hmm. Based solely on the number of times I've seen it I'll say 'Charlie's Angels' 1. (I STILL need one more movie. Come on guys!)
What do you like about yourself?
My near encyclopedic knowledge of the doll clothing I own as I often create full looks in my mind before styling (like Cher's wardrobe computer program). Knowing where each piece is can be a different story at time but I almost always find it :3
What is your favorite sport? Is Shopping a sport?
Do you smoke? Not with this asthma!
Do you drink? I've had a few sips/shooters but all of them taste nasty to me so it's not a regular thing. If I could find something that tastes good, however, then things might change.
Do you like to play video games?
Not on my own console for ages (I need to get a new wall plug for it) but I do like them yes, with a preference for fun sport games like Mario Kart/Party, Super Smash Brothers or the SSX series.
How do you feel about tattoos? I love them - on other people.
What is the perfect first date?
Great conversation, easy banter and maybe a goodnight kiss
Have you ever broken a bone? Not that I can recall
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Hmm. I'm not sure! Florida is all sorts of unsafe for me but there aren't really a lot of places as a black person that are ,are there? Perhaps a place with better doll stocking would work out more but for the moment I can't complain about my apartment.
What was the name of your favorite toy as a kid?
I had a horse that galloped until his leg broke and we had to glue it back on, though I was also partial to my captain planet figures and an otter in a sailor suit given to me from sea world.
Do you like cheese? Totes!
What’s your favorite TV show? Tabatha takes over, Archer, Iyanla: Fix my Life
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be?
To where my sisters live. Only finding them in recent years all of us haven't had the time to really get to know each other so I would travel to spend time individually with all 4 of them.
Favorite song? This isn't a fair question! I have no clue.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I already am :/
Ten years from now what do you want to be doing? My husband, in a place we own ourselves ;3

FAB 1 is a pink, six-wheeled Rolls Royce car seen in the 1960s British science-fiction television series Thunderbirds, and feature films.
There have been various versions - models and road vehicles. This car (apparently not a Rolls) was used in the 2004 live-action film, "Thunderbirds" and is now on display at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire (formerly known as the Heritage Motor Centre).
For more information on this unique vehicle have a look here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FAB_1
I managed to nab an AE-1 Program & 50mm from craigslist yesterday for $10. I thought, even if I don't like it I can just take purty pictures of it and sell it on ebay for a profit. The guy I bought it from was like "you can still get film for that?"
But this is Josh's AE-1 from that day we adventured Dinkytown.

Because when you're 15 and somebody tells you they love you, you're gonna believe them and when you're 15 you're feeling like there's nothing to figure out. Well, count to ten, take it in, this is life before you know who you're gonna be...at 15.
This wasn't my original plan for this picture, but today was my first day of high school, and I thought it would mean more if I took the picture on my first day, even though I'm not 15 yet. :D I also decided today that I'm going to start a 365 day project. I thought this was a really cool day to start it because I can capture my whole year from freshmen to sophmore. It will be really cool to see where I'm at next year on the first day of school, and I kind of already upload a picture almost every day, so...yeah. Bear with me, I'm going to try- this is my first year of high school, so I may miss a few days, and some of the pictures might be really crappy, but I'm going to do my best. I really want to do this. I think it will be a great way to improve my photography and to capture a very important year of my life. So, here we go. #1 of 365 days. Yay!
A BMC Riley 1.5 or OnePointFive as it says on the front wing. Seen as one of the cars at the Scunthorpe Classic Car Show in the town centre on the first Saturday of May 2015. Pity cars don't have chrome on like this these days.

The FAB 1 used in the 2004 film was based on a Ford Thunderbird and the entire canopy was hinged up and aft to allow entry into the car. The version used in the original series had odd downwards hinged doors and the roof had side panels that could hinge upwards instead, which I replicated on my model.
“Armed with the sharpie markers I had at my disposal, I slowly covered the bunker in my little drawings. Dad kept going out on searches, I kept to my hobbies. Days went by, holidays past, and the years melded together. But…one day…that day, we were really woken up to what was really waiting on the outside…”
