This is Levi, one of the Budweiser Clydesdales. Incredible, magnificent horses. And if you've ever seen them in real life you know that photographs don't begin to do them justice, especially their incredible size.
I love his eye rolled back to look at me and the little grin.
I was rubbing him and patting him...I must have found a good spot. :) Either that, or he was bemused by my hat.
Wearing my CBGB and OMFUG t-shirt. Got a couple of awesome stories about CBGB...I was there in 1992. CBGB is closed now. A part of rock and roll history gone forever.

I had a good time with the transportation theme for Macro Monday earlier this year, so I thought it would be fun to create something related to planes and cars in addition to the railroad stuff I already created.

Self-portrait playing with light from a lamp and the traffic lights coming through my blinds in the background.
Sometimes life is about self-exploration especially when one is going through a time of transition and change. I have been trying to decide what's up with the random self-portraits I've been doing since they are not particularly about being vain or showing off (which secretly I felt insecure about everytime I posted them). They are partly because life is busy, and in the evening when I finally get home there are only so many photography subject to take photos of. However, I am realizing after some self-reflection that they are about trying to re-learn who I am as just me. So here's one with hair a mess and no make-up. No smile because it's about looking looking backward, and self-reflecting for better or worse. This one is just me.

que el cielo te regala
dejando que su luz brille
sobre tus aguas calmadas?
Mirando tú me mirabas
a los ojos de mi alma
y allí yo te sentía
y deseaba alcanzar
la vida que en ti veía
cuando te agitas y mueves
en tu mundo de agua viva
inmensa para mirar.
