Captured in: Gloucester, MA
Pictured here is a view of the historic Eastern Point Lighthouse. The Eastern Point light is located along the shores of Cape Ann in North Eastern Massachusetts. The lighthouse was originally constructed in 1832 on the east side of Gloucester Harbor.
This is the sixth in a series of images from my trip w/ First Light Photography's Bill Rudock to the New England coast.

"Eastern Point" is an HDR image constructed from 3 separate shots, with a differential of 2 stops between images.
The resulting HDR image was processed to have a painterly look using a combination of ACR, Photomatix, and Photoshop (includes the use of Topaz Labs plugins -- Adjust, Clean, Denoise, Glow, Impression and LensFX).

de L’Isle-Verte
L'Isle-Verte (Bas-Saint-Laurent), Québec
La Réserve nationale de faune (RNF) de la Baie de l’Isle-Verte constituée de vastes étendues de marais, est située sur la rive sud de l’estuaire moyen du fleuve Saint-Laurent à 30 km au nord-est de la municipalité de Rivière-du-Loup. Ce territoire de 406 ha s’étend sur une bande riveraine de quelques 20 km le long du Saint-Laurent. Créée en 1980 par Environnement Canada, la réserve protège le plus important marais à spartine du Québec méridional, dernier grand vestige de ce type d’habitat vital pour la survie du Canard noir, ce qui lui a aussi valu d’être reconnue comme zone humide d'importance internationale en vertu de la Convention de Ramsar. Baie de l'Isle-Verte National Wildlife Area
L'Isle-Verte (Bas-Saint-Laurent), Quebec
The Baie de l'Isle-VerteNational Wildlife Area (NWA) encompasses a broad expanse of marshland lying on the south shore of the Upper Estuary of the St. Lawrence River 30 km northeast of Rivière-du-Loup. With an area of 406 ha, it covers a riparian strip running some 20 km along the St. Lawrence. Established in 1980 by Environment Canada, its purpose is to protect the largest Spartina marsh in southern Quebec, the last great vestige of this habitat vital to the survival of the American Black Duck, which has led to its being designated a Wetland of International Significance under the Ramsar Convention. In 1976 the town was included in the programme for preservation and development of traditional settlements of the Greek National Tourism Organisation under Aris Konstantinidis. Over 15 years, the programme sought to preserve, restore and find new uses for selected houses and architectural ensembles representative of traditional Greek architecture. Many of the yposkafa spitia (υπόσκαφα σπίτια), simple seamen's houses on the edge of the caldera, became guest-houses, hotels and restaurants.

Sunrise from one of my mornings on Capers Island a couple weeks back... There were a lot of gnarly old stumps on the beach but I particularly liked this piece of driftwood.

A small falls near Girdwood Alaska. Loved the rainforest that surrounded it. Pure enchantment.
Weeks half over! Have a wonderful Wednesday.
I trekked down to Laguna Beach this evening in hopes of catching some cloud coverage, but alas it wasn't meant to be. The tide was at its lowest level exposing this crevice. I climbed down in and setup my comp over the water. It wasn't until I returned home and started processing that I noticed this little fella hiding in the shadows. No photoshop trickery here this is the actual photo with minor processing. The hair stood up on the back of my neck momentarily when I noticed him there on the right side my composition.

Nur ein paar Schritte entfernt vom Aufnahmestandort des gestrigen Bildes: das Städtchen rückt aus dem Blickfeld, der Herbstwald unter Burg zu Lengfeld dominiert jetzt das Bild, ein Streifen Herbstraps sorgt für den Frischekick. Herbst kann so schön sein - wenn das Wetter schön ist!!!
Just a few steps from the place where I captured yesterday's image: the small town moves out of sight, the fall wood beneath Lengfeld castle now dominates the picture, a strip of rapeseed provides a freshness boost. Fall can be so nice - if the weather is nice!!!
This is a snap taken from the western flank of the coastal path which skirts around Thorney Island. A relatively new discovery for me given that this is barely 10 minutes from where I live! This view is looking towards Emsworth and beyond.
Stopped by Niagara Falls while we were up in Syracuse this summer. This was the view, the US Falls in the front and the Canadian Falls in the back. The blue folks are wearing their blue thin plastic ponchos that they receive with their ticket to ride the Maid of the Mist boat which you can see by the US Falls. The Canadian version is called the Hornblower and boards on the Canadian side, you can see one of the boats up by the Canadian Falls.
AMSTERDAM, Light Festival - all living things emit energy. Trees do this too. WISP of the French collective Pitaya, makes this energy which are usually invisible, visible. The energy transition is visible through bundles of light. The trees along the canals of Amsterdam are proud as enlightened guardians while the light wisps of a dynamic light ballet forms. The magical celebration of the fragile and dynamic allure of nature can be seen from the water, where a magnificent reflection in the water. To the country guarded WISP the border between water and land.
