This picture at a Dutch heather field was taken about 15 min before sunrise. It was cold so there was some fog over the field. Laren, 2022.

Celebrating golden October among the acers of Westonbirt Arboretum. It's gotta be done on an annual basis :-)
A puddle's eye view or rather iPhone's eye view of Skogafoss ... It is hard to get an original composition at this famous waterfall, so I was glad to find the puddle and thankful to the strangers who walked into my composition ... it was not an easy shot to take with the overwhelming spray so close to the falls, it was hard to 'see' what I was composing ... (do look at it large if you have a moment)
...look what I got...
Today I got a mail from Lu, my dear brazilian friend.
She gave me the link to this music and I LOVED it.

Blustery weather over the late summer 'Machair' at the Luskentyre estuary on the west coast of Harris in the Western Isles of Scotland. The dune grass was still rich with wild flowers even this late in August.
The Manor Wischlingen is located in the western district of Dortmund, Huckarde.
From the former knighthood Wischlingen, which had to be broken up in 1903 due to dilapidation, until today only the half-timbered chapel built in 1783 is preserved. Its foundations date back to a predecessor building built around the year 1400. The first Protestant service on Westphalian soil was celebrated here. The chapel was built as a half-timbered hall with roof rider and polygonal choir. After an initial repair in 1951, the chapel was restored in 1974 and 1975 and integrated into the Wischlingen park. In the chapel there is a wooden pulpit altar and burial plates of the families of Syberg and Sydow from the 17th and 18th. Century.
The house Wischlingen is listed as a monument, the Protestant chapel, the only sacred half-timbered building in Dortmund, as a monument in the monument list of the city of Dortmund.

I managed to get to Mote Park lake just in time to catch a few minutes of this early winter sunset - my first of this season. It was a very cold afternoon and the lake was frozen over as can be seen looking at the foreground.

The diamond of Serifos is its capital, Chora, which is considered to be a model of a medieval castled settlement, built amphitheatrically on the rocky height of the bay of Livadi , in order to protect it from the pirate invasions.
I've driven through this junction hundreds of times and often wondered what this shot would look like. When I saw snow on the ground I knew that would give extra contrast so I parked up and went up onto a foot bridge to tkae the shot. I could not get a full sequence of the traffic lights in one exposure so this is 4 shots stacked in photoshop.
