...are alike. Well, maybe they are but you often have different densities and clear areas that allow or disallow you to take a 'different' shot. If it weren't for the variables, we might not come back to a composition.
Thanks for having a look!

A cliché night shot from Westminster Bridge with the light trails from the passing bus - one of those must do shots in London that I had never done before:)
Jackson Piano Building
Preservation
Expansion of the Coronado Theatre:
A historic Rockford landmark, the Jackson building’s exterior could not be altered. Therefore,
Cullen’s (Architect) first challenge was
to find a way to keep the
building’s two street-facing
walls as well as a portion of
the second floor and roof
intact and structurally sound
while removing other walls
and floors, opening the
building so the two structures
could be joined.

Leap of Leopards in the Khwai Private Reserve, Okavango Delta, Botswana, wish I were there. Big sigh.
Happiness is a way of travel, not a destination.

Have a nice day everyone!
You know I like to do sunrises, unfortunately there was not a decent one all the time I was in Iceland. This was the closest I got. I do like the range of blue tones tinted by the pinks.
Taken from the Crowne Plaza hotel in Anting. The sun barely manages to shine through the haze.
The building with the flat roof lower right is the Shanghai Auto Museum (worth a visit, BTW).

The Willow tree growing in Lake Wanaka might be one of the most photographed trees in the world.
This wasn't the shot I'd originally planned, but it was the best I could get with large crowds gathering closely around it well before dawn.
I decided to try for a different composition from further down the beach, using my telephoto lens to include the mountains to the north instead of those to the east most people aim for.

Aiguille du Midi, m. 3842 (ft 12605)-(Mont Blanc Group) - 7.30 am - For pure combination I take this image. A large group of French mountain guides and climbers descend on the Gigante Glacier to protest against the operation of the Italy-France cableway which, in fact, flies over the Gigante Glacier

All need is some sand, sea, surf & barnacle-clad rocks to keep me happy. A camera helps too :)
Happy weekend everyone!
View towards west from the observation deck of the new Shanghai Tower, currently the tallest building in Shanghai and the second tallest in the world.
This is the big Huangpu River bend, with the Bund, the mouth of Suzhou Creek and the twin towers of the Shanghai IFC in the lower foreground.
I added some notes to identify buildings or other features in the picture, some of these notes contain links.
And, as usual, flickr wrongly assigns "Hongkou" as location name.

The journey continues towards Graskop
God's Window is situated on the lip of the Escarpment and impresses every visitor with a wide and impressive view of the Lowveld below in the Kruger Park area.
The majestic cliffs plunge more than 700 meters into the valley.
The attraction is north of Graskop and on the edge of the Drakensberg in Mpumalanga.
One look into the wide valley and you will understand why it is called God's window.
On the right is not autumn but it has burned.
