Nice architecture, I did like the curvatures in the roof and the open steel structure, flooding the place with light.
Quick snap during a stopover on a business trip from Shanghai to Wuhu in Anhui. And once again the crappy flickr location database surprised me - though the photo is placed correctly, flickr names the location as "Nanjing Airport" - that's about 25 km away....

Locronan was built during the Renaissance. It is one of the best example of small-town Renaissance architecture.
The Laugavegur is a famous trekking route in South-West Iceland from the hot springs area of Landmannalaugar to the glacial valley of Þórsmörk . It is noted for the wide variety of landscapes on its 55 km (34 mi) path. The route is typically completed over 2–4 days with potential stops at the mountain huts at Hrafntinnusker, Álftavatn, Hvanngil and Emstrur. An ultramarathon is held on the route each July. It is possible to combine the trek with the Fimmvörðuháls route which goes over the pass from Þórsmörk to Skógar for an additional one or two days or an additional 25 km (16 mi). Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, and Skógar are all reachable by bus during the summer. A bus from Hella connects with Álftavatn once a day during the summer.
La Torre del Agua fue uno de los puntos de mayor interés para los visitantes de la Expo tanto por su impresionante diseño como por la exposición que albergó en su interior: Agua para la vida. El espacio expositivo planteaba un recorrido en itinerario ascendente y descendente por medio de rampas que recorrían en su totalidad sus 73 metros de altura.
El edificio consta de dos zonas diferenciadas, la inferior está formado por tres plantas, de las que dos están enterradas y una, alzada sobre la rasante, forma la planta baja. Este zócalo sirve de base a la torre, cuyas fachadas de muro cortina acristalado se proyectan hacia el cielo.
Algunos de los elementos que caracterizan el edificio son la cortina de agua de 32 m de largo por 3 de alto situada en la entrada del zócalo y una espectacular fuente de agua-lluvia situada en su zona central. En el interior de la Torre, hueca, cuelga Splash, una escultura de 23 metros de altura que reproduce una salpicadura de agua. En la planta superior se situaba un bar panorámico.
Agua para la vida es el título de la exposición que el visitante pudo ver durante la Expo 2008. Desde un enfoque biocéntrico (los seres humanos pertenecemos a la naturaleza, y no a la inversa), el espacio pretendía hacer reflexionar sobre la importancia del agua como elemento esencial para la naturaleza y la supervivencia del planeta, y sobre la estrecha relación entre Naturaleza y Cultura.
Los medios audiovisuales y la iluminación tienen un papel fundamental en la forma de comunicar los contenidos, ya que no solo se trata de transmitir conceptos al visitante, sino también sensaciones y emociones. La muestra se organizaba en torno a los siguientes ejes temáticos: la cantidad de agua en el planeta siempre es la misma, la metamorfosis del agua, el agua se mueve, el poder creador del agua, somos agua, y agua, inspiradora del ser humano.

Die Feldlerche war eine sehr weit verbreitete Vogelart der Felder und Wiesen. Überall konnte man ihren charakteristischen Singflug hören. Sie ist eine der am meisten gebeutelten Arten durch die Massenproduktion und Monokultur auf unseren Feldern und verliert durch die Massenproduktion und Monokultur ihren Lebensraum. Früher alltäglich ist sie heute nur noch selten zu finden.
The skylark used to be widely distributed in Germany in open farmland and heath and their characteristic hovering sing flight could be heard everywhere. They are one the species suffering extremely from mass production and monoculture on our fields and they lose their breeding areas more and more. While they used to be abundant they are scarce now.
The Monastery of Saint Paraskevi is an abandoned monastery situated on the edge of Vikos Gorge, in the region of Zagori, Founded at 1413–1414, it is built at the edge of a rough rock that stands over the Vikos Gorge. It consists of a small stone-built chapel, the oldest preserved in Zagori, and offers panoramic views to the gorge. The closest village, Monodendri, is a 15-minute walk away.
