Looking south from the rockshelf at Soldiers Beach, watching warily for waves which tend to rush into that channel in the rocks.
Sometimes you;re on a beach looking for the picture that shows how big these rocks are,
And there they where ,I didn't think just shoot......and this is the shot!...And I still love this picture....

The Ponta da Piedade (Mercy Point) is possibly the most beautiful natural feature of the Algarve coastline.
The shoreline is formed of heavily weathered limestone cliffs that have been carved into rock pillars, natural tunnels and hidden grottoes. The sandstone cliffs of misshaped angles stand at stark contrast to the deep turquoises and greens of the calm seas.
The Croda dei Toni or Cima Dodici (Zwölferkofel in German) is a mountain in the eastern Dolomites 3,094 m asl It is part of the Sesto Dolomites and its name "Croda dei Toni" is due to the dialectal pronunciation of the area of the words "Rock of Thunder "
Photograph taken from the Forcella del Camoscio at the foot of the via ferrata at Monte Paterno. Note the lower left of the image of the path that, after the “via ferrata dei camosci”, leads to the Pian di Cengia refuge.

No, it's not Hawaii, Miami, or Southern California, it's along the shore of Portage Lake in Whittier, Alaska. You won't find people in bikinis or ice cream vendors here, even on a relatively warm August evening. But, you will find stunning views of Portage Glacier, and this view of Byron Glacier to the south.

Schwäbisch Hall "Swabian Hall", or Hall for short, is a city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg and capital of the district of Schwäbisch Hall. The city is located in the valley of the Kocher river in the north-eastern part of Baden-Württemberg.
Hall was a Free Imperial City for five centuries until it was annexed by Württemberg in 1802.
"Schwäbisch" refers to the Swabian League (German: Schwäbischer Bund). The origin of the second part of the name, "Hall", is unclear. It might be derived from a West Germanic word family that means "drying something by heating it", possibly referring to the open-pan salt making method used there until the saltworks closed down in 1925.

The Willow tree growing in Lake Wanaka might be one of the most photographed trees in the world.
This wasn't the shot I'd originally planned, but it was the best I could get with large crowds gathering closely around it well before dawn.
I decided to try for a different composition from further down the beach, using my telephoto lens to include the mountains to the north instead of those to the east most people aim for.

The diamond of Serifos is its capital, Chora, which is considered to be a model of a medieval castled settlement, built amphitheatrically on the rocky height of the bay of Livadi , in order to protect it from the pirate invasions.

It is a former estate garden featuring annuals, roses and wildflowers and an extensive rockery. It is located on Wilket Creek, one of the tributaries of the Don River West Branch. The estate's title was once held by Alexander Milne, a Scottish weaver who settled here after the War of 1812 and left in 1832. The land and the woolen/saw mills was obtained by Rupert E. Edwards in 1944 and created his country home. Edwards home was left in neglect and was purchased by the Municipality of Metro Toronto in 1955 and became Edwards Gardens in 1956.
