More shots from last year in November and these looks more like spring then almost winter captures, don't you think?. Here I went for a sunday walk to a nearby area called Pomata (near Tivoli) sorraunded by ancient olive trees plantations. A beautiful place facing Rome with nice view and warm light and mediterranean vegetation. Also a place for locals for recreation, walks and sports (jogging, walking, mountain-biking).

This spot Rocky Hollow in Turkey Run State Park features a nice little waterfall. The "bowl" was formed by "glacial erratics" from clear up in Canada. (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glacial_erratic ). These became trapped and erroded the rock, forming a bowl-like formation which gave this place its name - Punch Bowl.

For this shot, I wedged the stem of a fallen maple leaf into a ventilation grate in a remote corner of Chicago's Millennium Park. I then laid down on the grate and snapped away into the backlight with my telephoto. I was glad the grate didn't collapse since beneath it was an underground railroad yard with moving trains :)

A different perspective on one of the most iconic peaks on Banff's Icefields Parkway, Mt. Chephren. Seen here with it's slightly higher partner, White Pyramid under gloomy, stormy skies. White Pyramid is one of the few peaks that isn't denoted as Mount, Mt or Peak.
Mt. Chephren was originally called Pyramid Mountain due to it's impressive form, while it's neighbor was named White Pyramid due to it's glaciated (white) crown. As there was already a Pyramid Mountain near Jasper it's name was changed to Chephren. A prominent mountaineer and author of the era, J. M. Thorington, liked the association of the peak with the pyramids of Egypt and recommended the name Chephren. Chephren was the fourth pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt and built the second of the three Great Pyramids.
A few of the more common shots of Chephren in comments.
Thanks for a taking a peak peek!
Enjoy a wonderful Sunday!

I have photographed the moon. I however noticed that there are a lot of beautiful photos on this topic. So I've set it to process this.
The moon I have photographed with the Nikon D80 and a telephoto 70-300.
