This is the concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavik. It was opened in 2011.
I've read a few different stories about its design, but I like the one that says it is meant to look like the scales of a fish. In this shot it looks like some of the lights are out in the windows, it is actulaly just the angle the light has been caught at, just like the scales of a fish.

It was a nice day for photography, and fishing. You can see a guy in waders and a small fishing boat on the other side of the river.
I must have taken at least 100 shots of this village. Although its a hill top village it is also surronded by hills which meant that I could never get it in direct sunlight during the golden hour. It was also difficult trying to find a location with a clear shot without any trees blocking the view. I eventually decided to use the trees to my advantage and used this little bit of of framing to add some depth.
The "Mariä Himmelfahrt" church on the left is a gothic style church, built in 1450.

C'è una città di questo mondo,
ma così bella, ma così strana,
che pare un gioco di fata Morgana...
There is a city of this world,
but so beautiful, but so strange,
that looks like a fairy Morgana game ...

I've been meaning to get a shot of this landmark for over two years now and finally managed it despite the icy wind nearly blowing me over!!
Its that time of year again folks when certain farmers fields turn red covered in Poppies
This field is between Coven and Codsall in Staffordshire near Wolverhampton
I set off at 5am on a 3 hour drive to get the sunrise on Buachaille Etive Mor (the mountain in the background). The weather forecast had said it would be clear at first with rain moving in later. You can see from the sky that was not quite the case when I got there. It's not the photo I wanted and I've had to tweak this a lot but I wanted to post some outcome for my day!!
I was up in Perthshire this morning and these trees caught my eye - the colours were absolutely stunning.

plus c'est haut, plus c'est beau, dit-on ! plus c'est glacé, aussi c'est inversement proportionnel à la température du congélateur.
Là, au lac Noir, on est à 2500m d'altitude !
The sky around the Kelpies was mostly cloudy, but was clearer further east, so the sunrise created this colourful backdrop for me.
