Athabasca Falls in September when the flow is low. This falls is not known so much for the height of the falls (76 feet, 23 metres), as it is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge. Can be tough to get a shot from this spot in the Spring. Lots of misty and spray.
Another must stop along the Icefields Parkway, which is in view on the other side of the river.
More shots in comments.
Many thanks for taking a look!
When I was a kid we wandered frequently, with the school, to this house, to learn a lot about nature, but also about the history of our homeland.
In those days were known dead boards attached to the walls of the cottage, with partial but very droll sayings of the deceased on which they served at their last transition in their eternal resting place.

Anglet forms part of the Biarritz-Bayonne-Anglet 'conurbation', on the Atlantic Coast in south-west France and running along the Adour River to the north.
The coast and beaches are the principal attraction here, and the beach at Anglet is pretty much the southern end of the very long (200km) stretch of beaches that run in a more or less continuous row from Arcachon to Biarritz.
As with most of the beaches along this part of Atlantic, the five kilometres of beaches in Anglet are typically long and sandy. Behind the beaches the landscape is mostly of open grassy areas and small forested areas, and there is a promenade popular with walkers, cyclists and joggers behind a large part of the beach.
To me, it was a wonderful experience to walk the 4,5 km trail close to the Ocean along Anglet's 11 beaches during high tide...
Anglet is a synonym for surfing. You will find some of France's best surf spots.

The Aero Car was designed by a Spanish engineer, Leonardo Torres Quevedo and has been in operation since 1916. The cable car is suspended from six sturdy cables and offers a wonderful view of the Niagara Whirlpool which is formed at the end of the rapids where the gorge turns abruptly counterclockwise, and the river escapes through the narrowest channel in the gorge.

The foothills of the mountains in the Southern Lakes are covered in trees. The acid soils and humid conditions encourage ferns and moss, sessile oaks and the most wonderful beech trees, many of which are copper beech. Holly, rowan and hazel grow here too - the perfect environment for wildlife. Bird song everywhere - just magic. Red squirrels also abide here, unseen (by me, quiet as I was), as they are small and quick.
We even had a pair of nuthatches visit our bird feeder. They became used to me, coming out for the special food I put out for them. They were raising families of course, and so their food was rich in protein. Not cheap, but worth it !
Taken from the top of our 'holiday retreat' path one morning. The light was so lovely.
Thank you as always for your kind comments, faves and invites - hope you feel inspired to visit this wonderful place.
