Black frozen lake Sils. Lake Sils (German Silsersee, Romansh: Lej da Segl) is a lake in the Upper Engadine valley, Grisons, Switzerland. It takes its name from the village of Sils im Engadin. The lake lies at an altitude of 1,797 metres above sea level, between Maloja Pass and Lake Silvaplana. Several mountains over 3,000 metres overlook the lake, notably Piz Corvatsch, Piz Grevasalvas and Piz da la Margna. The lake's drainage basin culminates at Piz Fora (3,336 m) and comprises the Vadrec da Fedoz glacier.
With a surface area of 4.1 km², Lake Sils is the largest lake of the Engadine. It is also the largest natural lake in the Alps lying above 1,000 metres. The lake was formed by a prehistoric landslide dam, similarly to Lake Silvaplana (Source: Wikipedia).
Ich bin im holländischem Wald unterwegs gewesen und habe dieses Stück Wald fotografiert. Mich faszinierte dieser Wald, der mir wie ein Märchenwald vorkam.
I have been traveling in the Dutch forest and have photographed this piece of forest. I was fascinated by this forest, which seemed like a fairy tale forest.

There's not much color to be seen yet in the woods near our new place. Hopefully, soon...
Happy Fence Friday, folks!
It was a fantastic walk through the Sigmund-Thun Klamm and round the Klammsee.
The Klammsee is a reservoir, is an underground storage with a volume of 200,000 m³ and part of the power station Kaprun. The dam Bürgsperre with a height of 19 m accumulates the Kaprun Ache.
The beautiful place is located in the municipality of Kaprun in Salzburg in Austria.

A long exposure, landscape image of water pouring off the rocks near Portsoy in Morayshire, Scotland.
In antiquity the island was proverbial for the alleged muteness of its frogs.During the Roman imperial period, Serifos was a place of exile. After 1204 it became a minor dependency of the Venetian dukes of the Archipelago. In the late 19th century Serifos experienced a modest economic boom from exploitation of the island's extensive iron ore deposits

Oslo Opera House. We had great days in Oslo and enjoyed the city, museums and architecture. The low light of December days in Scandinavia is a challenge for every photographer.

So what to post next? I'll continue to post chronologically. Here some shots taken from the car (through the front window) on the highway (I was not driving) of this angry cloud formation ( it was a big storm going on there and the it was sunny sunset at the opposite side therefore the colors - did accentuate a bit in sturation but just slightly and those colors where that amazing. We were travelling southward on the highway but the storm too and it was faster obviously. I remember on the news this one caused a lot of problems in the Campagna region.) touched by sunset light.

The churches, places intended to meet the needs of Christian worship, are a characteristic and inextricable element of the Greek landscape. Their decoration – whether painting, mosaic or other - always reflects the Orthodox doctrine, following specific style trends and established iconographic programmes.
There is hardly a better place in my area to enjoy a perfect Autumn day than the open-air -museum in Detmold. We spent a whole day in beautiful sunshine without a cloud in this lovely location.
The LWL-Freilichtmuseum in Detmold is a great place to learn and experience the world of our ancestors. The open-air-museum is covered with buildings, tools, animals and plants of countryside life in Northwest Germany in the last couple of centuries. An endless source of inspiration for HDR photography.
Lost in the loud silence and captivating allure of a Sawtooth sunrise.
A few more shots in comments.
Thanks for taking a look!
A 5am alarm clock followed by a quick coffee and bite to eat then in the car for the 10min drive to the Rhyd Ddu Path, the forecast was promising with reports of no wind and rain and mist in the valleys.
I set off at 6am and headed for the summit of Yr Aran in complete darkness giving myself plenty of time to be their for first light, there was plenty of cloud cover on route with the odd star making an apperance every now and then, I knew that is was going to go either way come sunrise.
The sunrise colours did'nt come to fruition but the fog rolling in made up for that, I spent around 2hours in total taking in the views great place to be.

Just after sun rise, after a clear night, with mist forming across the autumn countryside. Looking East from Bringsty Common, near Bromyard, in Herefordshire.
Schloss Brake near Lemgo is a castle built in the style of the Weserrenaissance. We used the second advent weekend for a visit to attend an interesting exhibition about historic maps and navigation.
