happy birthday, dearly departed husband

Today the first day of summer and the longest day of the year, all the spring wildflowers are now long gone, but their seeds remain and with a little rain and sun, maybe next year, they will return.

Our mood suited the beautiful rainy gloom of Missing Melody last night. We had seen sunnier days, and we will hopefully be lighter again....

Notre humeur un peu morose allait bien à la beauté pluvieuse de Missing Melody la nuit dernière.Nous avions connus des jours plus ensolleillés. Retrouverons-nous notre légereté?

Since you've been away

I've been down and lonely

Since you've been away

I've been thinking of you

Trying to understand

The reason you left me

What were you going through?

I'm missing you

Tell me why the road turns

Ooh ooh

I'm missing you

Tell me why the road turns

As I look around

I see things that remind me

Just to see you smile

Made my heart fill with joy

I'll still recall

All those dreams we shared together

Where did you run to, boy?

I'm missing you

Tell me why the road turns

Ooh ooh

I'm missing you

Tell me why the road turns

Sometimes I've wondered

I didn't understand

Just where you were trying to go

Only you knew the plan

And I tried to be there

But you wouldn't let me in

But now you've gone away boy

I feel so broken hearted

I knew the day we started

That we were meant to be

If only you'd let me!

I've cried so many tears

Gotta face now all my fears

We let time slip away

I need you boy

Here today!

There was so much you gave me

To my heart

To my soul

There was so much of your dreams

That were never told

You had so much hope

For a brighter day

Why were you my flower

Plucked away

I'm missing you

Tell me why the road turns

Ooh ooh

I'm missing you

Tell me why the road turns

Hello Flickr friends!

I had to take a pause due to the amount of things I had to do in this last period but maybe I'm back on track.

Strange title, Why

The Worsley Delph is currently being refurbished /redeveloped, the bridge linking the Nailmakers cottage & the Packet House has been removed to allow contractors equipment through this small inlet, only the steps remain on the left bank

The bridge is known locally as the Alphabet Bridge due to its 26 planks, which were used by children to practice the letters of the alphabet.

It was two months ago today that I had to say goodbye to Jimmy. Originally, I didn't like the lamppost "sticking out of his head" so didn't post this photo. Now I just see my buddy in beautiful Autumn colors.

Getting a bit of cabin fever with this long winter.
