A few weeks ago I decided to grow out my goatee. Why? I have no idea. Why not! So i thought it was a good photo opportunity. I've had this thing on my face since 1995. I've probably shaved it off twice, maybe. It's who I am, I think. Did it go out of style? I think so. Is it back in style, maybe. Is that why I grew it? I don't know. But its one of my main features. If one was to describe me this one would be thing everyone would say.
It's me.
Andraya, Mischi, my Drew, Levi and Corrine. We're making a surprise for grammy, only it's impossible to get all of them in one room at the same time, so I'm shooting them in dribs and drabs and going to paste them all together in the end. Five down, five to go. All the grandchildren and great grandchildren. (shhhhh) I have great confidence that my mother is utterly computer illiterate, so let's keep it that way until the suprise is sprung.

- After three hours of trekking across the rugged Sidasian landscape, I finally reached my old friend Leo’s house. He didn’t seem too pleased to see me, and turned away to walk back down the small hatch. I placed my hand on his shoulder and told him about what had happened, about my parents. He turned to face me and said, “You owe me Jacob. Big time.” -Jacob-

Fountainwell, part of the Sighthill Estate, to the north of Glasgow was an area of high rise flats. It consisted of five tower blocks and nine blocks of low rise housing mostly in the form of maisonettes.
Glasgow Housing Association has agreed the demolition of five of the tower blocks, which was around 1140 homes. The blocks were built in the mid to late 1960s near the site of St Rollox Chemical Works, which is now a large supermarket. In between the blocks of flats was Sighthill Primary School, .
Nearly 2,000 asylum seekers were sent to Foutainwell, which was a very deprived area of Glasgow. This however led to tension on the estate, and there were many reports of racist attacks. On 5 August 2001, Kurdish refugee Firsat Yildiz Dag was murdered on the estate. It was not a racist murder, but his death led to fear and tension. Demonstrations from both locals and asylum seekers followed. Glasgow Council listened and spread asylum seekers throughout the city instead of concentrating them into just one or two areas like the Sighthill Estate.
In 2005 the Sighthill Estate hit the headlines again, this time because plans for the demolition of Fountainwell's five multi-storey blocks were announced this to the local newspapers before the residents themselves were informed. The local residents then formed a group called 'Save Our Homes' who wanted the Glasgow Housing Association to change their plans to demolish the towers. They also wanted them to undertake another consultation with the residents.
The estate was demolished between July 2008 and November 2009.

Odd protruding part at side (flash socket?).
Could not understand how and if it operates. It looked like it was all metal, without seperate, insulated terminals.
Part of the Gothic ballad of The Vampyre from Stagg's Minstrel of the North 1810.
Comment by seriykotik (Ian) on Flickr:
"The Minstrel of the North looks like a classic Gothic miscellany ! just looked at the copy of this on archive.org and it has a great vampire ballad on pp 261 to 269. It predates Polidori's "The Vampire". It looks like your book contains one of the first vampire stories,in ballad form, in English literature.I just read it-I like the intro which describes how spirits of the newly departed cost around for cramps of human flesh to inhabit.
Fascinating."

I built the other '46 Chevy today. Took about 4 hours or so.... Looks like the loader operator let one get away from him.... Busted the headache rack and caved the roof in... Looks like the driver is a little rough too, with the broken headlight and bent fenders, and wooden running board!
