The title says it all really!!! :>) The only other thing to say would be that I stuck the numbers [139] onto an old brass wall plate that I recall seeing hanging in the kitchen of our house with a bunch of others when I was very young. Not that the etched design on the plate is very visible here though.!!
Posted for the Macro Mondays' group theme of "Three".

Scanned apple. Created for Open University Digital Photography T189. The problem with the scanner is the shadow it casts as the light scrolls past. When my photoshopping skills have improved I'll try this on a plain background.
Everything's better with bacon! My "before" photo of our Gordon Ramsay-style turkey inside the Big Green Egg.

Dispersing Fashion
"Witness a time-based process of destruction that explores environmental issues."
An art installation comprising dresses made from a water dissolving material. Water slowly drips from bladders suspend above the dresses, and collects in shallow trays / pools.

"My work is a manifestation of environmental politics; an expression of my concerns about deforestation that initiated from an inspirational trip to Malaysia / Borneo. One concern is the reluctance people have to use water efficiently, which
contributes to global warming and other environmental problems such as; the droughts we are experiencing in the UK.
Three dresses within the work act as a metaphor for the gradual destruction of the world we live in. The dripping taps we leave on in everyday life is represented through the three shower heads, which slowly destroy each dress revealing the damaging effects our everyday actions contribute to.
Over the two hour duration of the work you are encourage to revisit this steadily shifting environment.
The water used within this project will be recycled into the university pond after use."

If you have not read Conversion Part#1 then please do so first before you read this.
Conversion.. Continued....
Me: Why do you call that sin? I call it "EVOLUTION", a lion has to hunt the deer in the forest. Has the Lion sinned becuz it killed a deer? No its evolution, thats how the world works...
Missionary: Well let me explain like you understand, when i was your age you see, i went into drugs you see, so you know i used to do little drungs like ganja (indian word for crack) you know, and then my brother gave me my first needle of heroin you know. I used to be like you, think like you.. small things and it leads to big sins...
Me: hmmm... (waiting for her to stop, sigh! Indian ppl dont have time to do drugs lady, we die of starvation, this is not australia and i cant relate to your story!)
Missionary: And then at 24 when i have done everything i wanted to i stepped back and realised that i have done everything but my life was not in control and once i went to the church, i did not wanna pray. but i gave it a chance just like you are doing today (she alerady decided for me !) and jesus came into my heart... you see. He is there and he does not
want all the bad, i quit drugs came to india and started working with unfortunate people like me....
Me: hmmm...
Missionary: (she calls a old poor woman who looks like she was gonna die any moment, yet she smile with so much enthusiasm) you see this is thaayamma.. she came to us just like you, lost. i know you want somethings that lie in your heart, i can see it in your eyes (wow now she can do telepathy, great im getting excited) so you know, now she is so cured and has little pain than she used to before, the doctors gave up on her, jesus didn't (thayaamma kisses the australian)
Me: wow, thats neat.. (sigh how many more fake examples?!?)
Missionary: You see thats kumarasami (kid is playing around with a sony digital camera, what the *****!!! and its a sony P800, costs as much as my prosumer does.. no wonder he converted... im sure no onfie wo that... ) He is a poor boy from a fisherman family, he had no education, today he is a class topper.... because of jesus...
Me: okay.... (go on, im listening... this is probably the only point i will appreciate you for, giving the kid education)
Missionary: you can be like them if you pray with me now....
Me: I dont think so, i dont see what im unhappy with in life, i have a good job, good friends, great hobby and if i need to find spirutuality i dont find any reason as to why i should convert to christianity, i dont see what christianity as a religion offers that hinduism or islam does not...
Missionary: Agreed, so you are a hindu...?
Me: Mam' i dont believe in god. There has been no evidence in the history of mankind that religion has influenced and resulted in good. Women are treated like shit in this contry, racism is at its best, corruption and poverty... last thing i need is god and that too to convert....
Missionary: You see i was like you too, i used to be a woman liberalist and used to think all these religion are man
made... i know in your religion maybe women are mistreated... maybe god is not for real but jesus is much more than that...
he died for us, for all of our sins he paid back.... he is full of love and forgiveness... he forgives us....
Me: Whats the proof...
Missionary: he did, one day he will come back again for all of his children. So now is the time to join him, becuase when he is done taking his children to his kingdom of heaven he will then destroy this earth since satan wants to take it over....
Me: Come on, you are contradicting yourself! You say god is love and he forgives then why does he have to DESTROY the people who are not with him... why cant he forgive if what you are saying is for real...
Continued in Part #3
Part 1: There once was a young woman who was deeply in love with her fiancé. She bought a beautiful wedding dress. The day she was to be married, she patiently awaited her new husband to arrive and sweep her up in his arms and live happily ever after. She looked radiant as she smiled happily at the preacher and repeated over and over: "Oh, Father, my love is coming for me. He is coming soon!" Ten-year-old film coupled with over-exposure due to a dead battery in the camera. I recovered what I could in Lightroom but the quality's not so great. At least I'll learn to check the battery before I go out now.
The fourth section finished...
I've left off the pieces that are at the fireplace opening, I'll finish those areas
when the pieces are installed, and use the bevels in the glass to wrap around the edge.

My mum was pregnant eighteen years ago . She was expecting a twins. I'm one of them. Somehow my twin brother or sister just disappeared. It is called "vanishing twin syndrome".
I always felt a little bit lonely. It's like some part of me is missing something or someone all the time. I've never had a lof of friends and actually I've never had someone who I could call "my soulmate".
Supposedly there's specific permanent relationship between twins. I'm not sure if it works in this way in my case but... who really knows?
