Part of my enjoyment in my photo enthusiasm is in the post processing phase. I enjoy editing to get the image to look the way I feel it presents itself best. But at other times, and quite often I leave well enough alone and go SOOC.

Here I especially like how all the individual elements near and far create new interrelationships with one another when flattened upon the picture frame. Yes, all those poles, but here the water tower and traffic cone are a half mile away from each other, but in the shot they are buddies. Add in that tree and let's have a party. -- throw in a red reflector as the fulcrum and let's swing.

Part of my project ›Borderland, Borderless‹ - an inquiry along the former inner-German border.

Even more than 30 years after the reunification of Germany, there is this borderless borderland. All objects photographed form a topography of this particular society.

A book about this project will be published at the end of 2021, this picture however is not in the book.

The challenge of only being able to dayhike is light. Often, way too much. Not much chance for golden hour shots unless you're willing to hike in the dark.

Sanatoriums were massively built at the beginning of the 20th century in regions isolated from pollution, in the mountains, on sunny plateaus to benefit from the great outdoors and the disinfecting and restorative properties of the sun.

Iriam esquecer as práticas antigas.
