This was taken looking east from the south-east corner of Hatston Industrial Estate. In the foreground is a tiny part of Kirkwall Harbour - The main pier stretches out way to the left of where that fishing boat is moored!
In the background is a part of East Road" going up that hill which has some old very large houses along it. This photo was taken on a nice afternoon in early April.
Essayez!!

Man. Part of nature. We should learn to live in harmony with it. Respect for its beauty...

-Amy’s story was very saddening, and we did our best to comfort her, which is hard when you don’t have much left. Very early in the morning, I was woken by Leo and Amy; they told me that they’d picked up a Protectorate mayday signal coming from nearby. We quickly packed up our things and headed off in the direction indicated. When we arrived, it was not what we were expecting. It was a Protectorate base alright, but it was covered in plants and looked abandoned. When we re-tracked the signal, it said that it had been activated 13 years ago. Something strange is going on in there -Jacob-

Kovalam fishing boats pulled up on the beach. I'm still not sure if the plaited palm covers protect the boat and its contents or provide a home for the fisherman between fishing trips out into the Arabian Sea.
JACK AND JILL MAGPIE have been visiting me since we moved in along with the various babies they have reared along the way.
Now Magpie babies have an annoying little habit of constantly screeching for food despite the fact at this stage of their development they have been feeding themselves.
Jack and Jill wandered down to the end of my balcony, whilst I sat cross legged next to baby feeding it cat biscuits in an effort to stop the screeching.
Jack, has the patience of a dead newt, suddenly turned and I went "uh oh"....................

Part bird, part submarine, these expert divers inhabit sluggish rivers, freshwater marshes, lakes, and estuaries. The Pied-billed Grebe is common across much of North America. These small brown birds have unusually thick bills that turn silver and black in summer. Juveniles have black and white stripes and look more like winter adults. Pied-billed Grebes feed mainly on aquatic invertebrates, and also on small fish and amphibians (frogs, tadpoles). They dive to obtain food. Their bills allow them to crush crustaceans, like crawfish.

Also, I'd love to make this into a screensaver.

When planning the Rumbled in the Legañan Jungle MOC, I knew it would take up a lot of space. This was a problem as our spare room doubles as our guest room, and since over the Christmas period I knew we had guests staying, I had to create a modular MOC so I could transport it to our bedroom when guests were staying.
These photos show a breakdown of the 5-parts which made up the MOC. The sides with the technic connections are shown facing the camera.

Major reconstruction of the former New Orleans World Trade Center nearby has led to the curtailment of the Riverfront streetcar service, which now terminates outside the Audubon Aquarium. A local tourism officer takes a photo of two intending passengers before they board RTA Car #457.
Part 2 of this shoot is finally up on my blog!
