President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the festivities marking the 9th anniversary of the National Guard of Ukraine and the graduation of officers of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine and the Kyiv Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine.
On Friday, 334 officers graduated, including 263 graduates of the NGU National Academy and 71 graduates of the NGU Kyiv Institute. 11 officers graduated from universities with a gold medal, 22 have the status of combatants.
"Today we add 334 more reasons to our victory, which the Ukrainians are bringing closer with all their might - 334 warriors of the National Guard of Ukraine who have completed their training and are joining the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine. 334 officers who, under any circumstances, have to increase the glory of Ukraine, protect the freedom of Ukraine, take care of Ukrainian men and women," the Head of State said in his speech.
The President emphasized that Ukraine's victory will be the sum of the resilience, courage and efficiency of all those fighting for our country.
"Protecting the honor of Ukraine, our Defense and Security Forces, the National Guard of Ukraine everywhere is your path, the path of Ukrainian officers. I believe that you will be able to walk this path with dignity," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Life for this fishermen aint easy.

Fleet number 617 was captured on the Bridges working a Part Route 3 from Mayfield to Westside Plaza (instead of Clovenstone, the usual terminus.) The bus is seen crossing the High Street as it makes its way down South Bridge and North Bridge towards Princes Street. Behind the bus and wrapped in scaffolding is the Inn on the Mile, a hotel and bar originally built in 1923 as the British Linen Bank. The bus will end this journey at Westside Plaza opened in 1974 as Wester Hailes Shopping Centre (rebuilt 1996-99 as Westside Plaza.)

“What have they done.” His voice was more warning and demanding than questioning. “Tell me now, Daeran.”
“Sir, they have dishonored my late father, his house, me, and my mother.”
“Is that it?”
“No.”
Thrundin sighed. He took out an array of weapons, then set them out onto the large oak table. “I shall punish them for that, they do need to improve their moods. Don’t you think?”
“I don’t see as I have a say, Sire.”
“If I ask you, then you have a say. I shan’t repeat myself.”
“Yes, my Lord.”
“What do you think would be the proper punishment for them?” Daeran couldn’t believe it. The king was asking him about his sons and what would be the best way to punish them. “I have tried almost everything and nothing has worked, so I am open to any and all suggestions.”
“I don’t know ,Sir.”
“Very well, I shall ask it of someone else.” There was a few moments of silence, then Thrundin spoke again. “Vanheri said you fought well.”
“I wasn’t aware she was watching me fight, Sire.”
“She says she had never met any other who could kill that many Gradonuls in such a short time besides me. What drove you on?”
“They killed my Adma.”
Thrundin nodded. “She has a strange way with telling stories, Vanheri. She has feelings for you.” Daeran was shocked, but how? She seemed familiar, but he couldn’t remember why.
“How is that, Sire?”

The hitchhiker snake after it rode around under my car for about 45 minutes.
This is my mom's front porch, since this snake is not venomous, they took it to the woods. THEN….it came back to the porch again….and once more they took it to the woods.
The note was from Mr. Fun...seems he had a thing for me from the first time he saw me. *silly boy* he had no idea what he was getting himself into. The party had been broken up by the cops.
After that night we would see each other at work. He was sign supervisor so he would hang the signs in whatever area I was working in and we would chat while working. We started taking breaks together and then lunches. Then it was paging each other in code. (that makes us old, lol)
By this time I was so confused. When I was with Mr. Fun nothing else mattered. When I was with my fiance all I could think about was Mr. Fun. So I went to my mom.....she told me to follow my heart . (thank you mom, you're the best)
Mr. Fun and I went to the mall one day. When he dropped me back home I wanted him to kiss me....I wasn't leaving that car until I got a kiss. Yes, I was still engaged. but I also knew he wanted to kiss me...it was butterflies and goosebumps when we were together.
So we kissed and that's when I knew he was the one. That night I broke off my engagement...........
My fiance moved out the next day.
Mr. Fun and I were officially deemed a couple by all our friends, even his girlfriend he had been dating up until now.
I am not sure what happened but Mr. Fun and I didn't stay together...I started hanging out with my now ex fiance. And I heard he was with his ex though he denies it.
After a couple more weeks Mr. Fun came to my house, I don't remember one thing that was said other than a CD being thrown in my car and Mr. Fun telling me to listen to track 5 before driving off..
So I took a look in the mirror and took my moms advice. I followed my heart. Less then a year after talking cookie recipes we were married.
12 years later I still get the butterflies and goosebumps.
One of the images on the "Handmade Life-cycle vs. Mass-produced Deathcycle Quilt" we made for Maker Faire. I started colorizing them because I want to turn the whole mess into a children's book. -Anda

Porzione della famosa costellazione di Orione ripresa con il mio piccolo telescopio rifrattore da 72mm di diametro, lo SkyWatcher Evostar 72ED.
La costellazione di Orione è facilmente individuabile nel cielo per via delle sue stelle molto brillanti. La forma ricorda una clessidra e la zona più interessante è formata dalla “cintura di Orione” ossia le tre stelle centrali poste nella “strozzatura” della clessidra e la “Spada di Orione”, un ben noto asterismo visibile in basso a destra nella foto che contiene anche la famosissima Nebulosa di Orione.
Partendo dall’alto è appena visibile la stella centrale che forma la cintura di Orione, Alnilam; procedendo in diagonale da questa verso la sinistra dell’immagine troviamo Alnitak. La regione attorno a questa stella è tra le più fotografate… e a buon ragione! Attorno a Alnitak si trovano delle bellissime nebulose come la Fiamma, chiaramente individuabile sulla sinistra della stella, la nebulosa ad emissione IC434, formata dalla zona di colore rosso che si estende verso il basso partendo sempre dalla stella Alnitak e la famosa nebulosa Testa di Cavallo, che in realtà è un complesso nebulare che oscura una parte della IC434 stagliandosi davanti ad essa e quindi diventando visibile.
In basso leggermente sulla destra troviamo la formazione della spada di Orione, un asterismo che si mostra come una colonna di piccole stelle avvolte da grandi complessi nebulari molto luminosi. Tra questi spicca la Grande Nebulosa di Orione e subito in alto la Nebulosa De Mairan e la NGC 1977, chiamata anche Nebulosa Running Man.

The sun drifted west, illuminating the path she had ventured countless times; this would be the last. She was looking for something more than the white picket fence that had only acted as a barrier in her past. Without looking back, she walked onwards on the path, towards what she had craved, something she did not yet know.

Left photo - West-facing projection clearly showing the cantilevered portion of the building, over the years these 'balconies' were installed with windows all round, converted them to dwelling as the local population has increased
Top middle-left photo - close-up of the column supporting the cantilevered balconies shown on the left photo. Thick pinkish plaster can be seen broken off from the column upper section, the latter being perfectly concreted without honey comb or breaks
Lower middle photo - six bare-wired power cables were once kept immediately underneath the first floor balcony, with very old porcelain insulated cable keepers still in view at ceiling height
Top middle-right photo - with extensive concrete spalling occurred over the years, a large part of the floor slab reinforcement was exposed in the form of 6 inches x 12 inches grid BRC wire netting
Lower middle-right photo - close-up of the steel window frames installed in the 1950s/60s. Apart from little rust that appeared at the paint flaked areas, the windows were largely intact and looked still working despite the flats were deserted for some time
Right photo - a ground floor column showing extensive concrete spalling occurred along the lower portion as a result of rusting reinforcement, the effective cross section area of this column was significantly reduced. Steel R-bars and stirrups were evident with heavy rust appeared on the entire bar surface
Overall condition of the building structure was poor and in need of proper strengthening, if the buildings were not pulled down shortly.
That was fun and our feet got all used so we will no longer run all over the house. Well, not for an hour or so!
