لا شيء يربطنا بالحياة الصعبة إلا الحلم ، عندما نفقده كأننا نسلم أنفسنا للموت
الحلم يوقظ الرغبة في الاستمرار و الحياة

Well, I haven't posted one of these in a while so today must be your lucky day because I am going to post TWO of them. :-)
I have always enjoyed making these Holgaramas for the simple freedom they give to build a frame however you and your imagination wants. I feel strangely restricted at times in going out into nature, an organic world that doesn't conform well to our sense of order, and attempting to fit what I find into neat squares or rectangles. How much do you find in the Gorge, or on a mountain or at the beach naturally conforms to squares and rectangles? Not much, we just sort of shoehorn it in there, don't we? Working with the Holga in such a way to build these composite images allows me to play a bit more with that shape, though ultimately I guess it is still built of individual squares. But oh well, one step at a time, eh?

And the hardest part
Was letting go, not taking part
You really broke my heart
And I tried to sing
But I couldn’t think of anything
And that was the hardest part

*They are golden roses if you were wondering. Also, did you notice Jasper the dog?
Are you sure this is the one Phillip?
Yes. It is the only one in the forest that has the guts to grow strong and strange.
You are definitely right about that and I like it!

I'm alive! This was a Seed Part Challenge build done at Brickslopes 2015. We had an hour and a half to use our seed part, the blue 1x2x3 slopes, in any build of our choice. Thanks to some parts I brought, and lucky golden greeble picks in drafts the day before, I was able to win the competition. It's supposed to be a steampunk starfighter based off of a globe on a stand.
On another note, I am back for good. I am launching a YouTube channel for my builds, and will be posting at least once every couple weeks. I have a backlog of builds to post, so get hyped. I'm glad to be back, and to be a part of such an incredible community of builders, you guys are what keep me motivated to build. :)

I had been out to the Von Berge ranch once before during the daytime but really wanted to go during sunrise or sunset. One evening as my family visited I saw some very promising looking clouds in the sky when it was getting close to sunset so I asked my son-in-law Bill if he would like to go out...

The Great Unconformity part 2: Hiking up to the unconformity
1st part is here: www.flickr.com/photos/136031402@N06/51254117571/in/datepo...
The Great Unconformity is a geological mystery, a time span of 1.2 billion years with no record of deposition in the southwest USA. Well known in the Grand Canyon, where the unconformity separates the lower inner gorge from the typical horizontal layers of the Grand Canyon. We found a place near St, George Utah, where a road crosses the Great Unconformity, join the ride!
This part of Doha was the land mark of the county in the 70s and early 80s.
although it is still a site to recognize from Doha, but it has lost its glamor to the other recent additions.
