Part three of the avocet and eared grebe skirmish. While you can't see the grebe, the avocet is still in hot pursuit, flapping its wings and trying to bite the escaping grebe. The water here is shallow so the grebe was unable to dive very deep.

JMT DAY 4 - MILKY WAY OVER ROSALIE LAKE
Milky Way over Rosalie Lake
The sky darkened as night fell at Rosalie Lake.
Maybe it was the small size of the lake that seemed to be overpopulated with trouts. Maybe the rocks risen like rolling hills letting the heavenly body stretched overhead from one end of the other in a planetarium. Or maybe the dense forest enclosing the lake with a sense of peace and seclusion from the outside world. I was no longer looking in a fish bowl. I was part of the scene.
The winds that had been brushing against the water for quite some time persisted in the dark. The stirring never ceased, like a glass of water quivering in a constant hum. Either the wind itself was stirring the water or the sound of it was vibrating it, it was clear that no reflection of the stars was promised.
As the night got darker, the stars shone brighter. As if heaven dropped to earth that much closer to listen what was constantly disturbing the tranquility.
Part of my Buttermilk Falls series, I switched over to my 180 macro and got down low. Along the river banks are these soft moss beds with little shrooms are all over the place.

Here is Live Action Christie next to brad since both are dark skinned dolls from the same era. It’s pretty interesting that until LA Christie came along, Brad are definitely the darkest doll I owned, but she makes him look relatively tanned lol.
Part of the Windward Islands chain, Dominica is widely regarded as the 'Nature Island'. With lush rain forests and a volcanic landscape, it is an island very different from most others in the Caribbean. It also happens to be my favourite!

Part of the photo shoot we did for his newly released album Narrow Escape (BA 409 CD). A different version of the same concept appears on the album cover.
The card swipe worked. We defeated the imposter and the ship made it to its destination. We were victorious but we also lost a lot of good crewmates. I guess this is the end of my adventure. Goodbye.
