DASS96

Now let's get into some more recent figure project updates 2/7 - first off, a quick update to the Dass Jennir and Beast set from the Dark Horse Comic series Star Wars: Dark Times (Out of the Wilderness arc). 1:18 scale.

The beast (I'm gonna call it a horse because well, that's what it is) has been thinned down in the neck and the torso. Originally those areas were way too thick. Made the horse look like a miniature clydesdale LOL!

I also sculpted the rear lower legs again to reinforce the knee articulation from bending the wrong direction.

Jennir's update is all about the alternate head sculpt featuring the headdress and hat (hat not features in this update). My original Jennir custom featured a static, alternate head sculpt of the headdress and hat. This time around, I wanted to give the figure's head sculpt free motion within the headdress. With this update, I can get left, right, up and down motion. Slight motion...don't need to go crazy with it but enough to make it special.

I have a feeling I will need to create an alternate lower torso for Jennir sitting on the horse. Was hoping the articulation I created would be enough but the figure may look clumsy when posed. Not sure yet. The details around his waist and ammo belt will have play in all this.

More to come on this guy!
