When it's almost spring and roses have yet to bloom, it's a delight to have miniature roses on hand.

Here we have a very small snail on a lavender plant, taken using my 30mm Sony f2.8 macro lens.
The size of the snail is a about the size of an average adult small fingernail as can be seen here against the fur of the lavender plant.
A miniature mushroom (probably Rickenella sp.) blooms in a dense carpet of moss sporangia (spore producing structures) on the forest floor.

An icy day on Trout Lake delivered interesting tree shadows, miniature snow drifts, and a thinly frozen surface.
Plenty of Bonsai sized trees in the model village in Bourton on the Water in Gloucestershire. This model village was constructed in the 1930’s and is a miniature replica of the village as it was then and essentially how the centre of the village still is. A very popular tourist destination.
There are a couple of notable things here that caught my eye. First of all, there is the miniature horse which is so cute. I am going to call her ‘Tiny Tina.’ Secondly, who designed the roof on the shed? I can’t image what purpose that serves. Thirdly, there is a really large flying bug, which I can’t identify, on the rope in front of Tiny Tina. Lastly, there are a number of different fence styles. Why just stick to one when you can mix it up? HFF

This tiny little hopper was just a miniature of the grownup grasshopper,
just a few millimeters wide.
You can easily see this in comparison with the petals of the dandelion flower !!
Miniature of the Brandenburg Gate, made of metal.
I bought it while a visit in Berlin.

A tiny Hit camera that is small but perfectly formed, and incredibly even takes a tiny 17.5mm film. It was made by the Japanese Tougodo company based in Toyohashi in the 1950's and 1960's and is (was) a fully functional camera. I have placed a 35mm film canister next to it just to give scale, and for those born after 2000, ask your parents.
