Milch Brötchen

Home again after a week of mtb biking & shopping in North Van, these baguettes are what we opt for when we haven’t had time for sourdough. Not real baguettes by any stretch, and not sourdough either, this is a simple yeasted German Milch Brötchen recipe which I’ve adapted and turned into lazy baguettes, and that the family is.. well, never sorry to see coming out of the oven ☺️ This is a closed tight crumb, chewy and soft, and takes all of 5 minutes hands on work, it waits in the fridge overnight and is baked off for 25 minutes in the morning for hot, fresh from the oven “lazy baguettes”. I’ve shared the recipe before on my feed, and if you need a quick breakfast bread that is delicious, (and even though I’m not a proponent of using commercial yeast from a nutritional and health stand point 👎👎) this is an easy one that doesn’t require any of the patience of sourdough and is okay once in a while. #breakfast #bread #milkbread #baguettes #fromscratch
