From a distance in bright sunlight this looked like one of tens of thousands of random seashells one can see by the seaside or seashore. But getting in closer and looking at it with an enhanced contrast (but no color filters!) showed a strange alluring web of colors and shades that aren’t visible in bright sunlight.
