Going by the signatures, I believe this was written by Alfred W Moss.

"Dear Everyone,

This is a photograph of our billet taken the day before the Armistice was signed. Somehow or other we thought that the next day would see the end of the war.

We have had a bosker time amongst ourselves in this little village, and would like to be here for Xmas or even until we leave for 'Aussie'.

I will be writing in a day or so, so hurroo for the present, with fondest love to all at home.
