Bison with Icin'! 8294

This is the forth photo I'm posting for the black and white photo challenge. Bison are well adapted for the harsh winters they endure. A thick coat of fur and thicker layers of fat help protect them from the elements. They use their large heads to plow their way through deep snow and to uncover the remnants of summer grasses that help them to survive. This is why they can commonly be seen with snowy faces during winter months. When the snow is deep they will follow, single file, while one bison blazes a trail. In places like Yellowstone, bison will make use of some of the park's thermal features to help stay warm. #IloveNature #ILoveWildlife #WildlifePhotography in #Wyoming #Nature in #YNP #YellowstoneNationalPark #Wildlife in #America #USA #Canon #BlackandWhitePhotoChallenge #DrDADBooks #Bringit #Photography #Picoftheday #Photooftheday
