My Air Fryer adventures continue with my attempt at cooking a Steak with Potatoes and Asparagus!

 

First of all, I didn't expect to get GREAT results, but for the times I need a quick meal, it helps to know my options.

 

I started with fresh asparagus and mini potatoes, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and a splash of olive oil. I followed recommendations from the Internet and cooked them for 10 minutes at 400F, turning them at 5 minutes. Unfortunately, they ended up being overcooked by about 3 minutes (my guesstimation).

 

As soon as the veggies were done, I put the steak in (while the air fryer was still hot). I had seasoned it with some Montreal Steak Spice and a dash of garlic. The recommended cooking time was 10 minutes for a medium cook, which ended up being too long for the steak I got. It was much closer to well done. Okay, it was a cheap steak that was kinda thin, not the best. A thicker steak (at least ¾ inch) would have worked out okay.

 

I wasn't expecting to get a perfectly cooked steak - medium rare with a nice sear on the outside - but I was hoping to get something tender and tasty. This wasn't a total failure. It still tasted good, and I'll know what to do next time...
