Ah, 'Les French', they sure know how to do things, don't they! (ツ)

Zoom right in to see how succulent they really are. Mmm!

Instructions for use :

For that extra crunchiness, gently place one end of the skewer in your mouth, close your teeth, close your eyes (as if you were about to enjoy something) and slide one or two off at a time. And then, start crunching! Yummy!

A slimy snail by any other name* couldn't taste any better. (ツ)

Well, if that doesn't make your mouth water, I give up!

Take care, my friends, and many thanks for calling,

“At no other time than autumn

does the earth let itself be inhaled in one smell,

the ripe earth; in a smell

that is in no way inferior to the smell of the sea,

bitter where it borders on taste,

and more honeysweet where you feel it touching the first sounds. Containing depth within itself,

darkness,

something of the grave almost.”

― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters on Cézanne

For today's theme I chose macaroon-shaped soaps. We have an artist in town who makes pastry-shaped soap creations. I chose the Morello cherry, Crunchy Nougat and Caramel and salted butter scents.

The soaps are approximately 2.5 cm in diameter.

A young bull moose wears part of its evening meal as a "hood ornament" as it blissfully feeds in a Colorado mountain lake. He was a very exuberant feeder as he happily munched and splashed about and was totally oblivious to us as we sat by the lake's shoreline.

Have a great day! Thanks so much for your views and comments - they are much appreciated!

October 1980 35mm film shot of Forest Road 166 (Six Hundred Road) as it goes around a bend on Heartbreak Hill in the Superior National Forest inland near Tofte, Minnesota.

The story goes that the hill got its name during the days when the horses pulling the rigs hauling logs out of the forest couldn't make it up the grade in the winter. I've heard other tales, too.

My brother, his friend and I found out the hard way that a Ford Econoline Van doesn't make it up the hill on glare ice either. It also doesn't like to stay on the road when you're trying to back it down. It isn't called "Heartbreak Hill" for nothing...

Rain, autumn, in the moment.

Just a crop and curve in photoshop. No processing; couldn't improve on nature—in my mind, at least.

Thanks for looking.

I was not very good at eating my "greens" when I was young. But cabbage never looked this good !

Fresh strawberries are SUCH a lovely thing!

Well, when it comes to a green shiny apple , i can't resist its charm .. i eat it like a starving FAT animal .. ;P

All supermarkets have these plump Cherries on sale,

I love Cherries,

As Cleo tends to wait for the snacks to fly right into her mouth, no birds were hurt during or after this photo shoot. She still considers herself as a great huntress, though, who could catch every bird she wants if she thought it was worth the effort (what - of course - will never happen).

I add another capture in the comments.

At Pashley Manor Gardens you will discover 11 acres of beautiful borders and vistas – the culmination of a lifetime of passion for gardening, an appetite for beauty and an admiration of the tradition of the English Country garden. These graceful gardens, on the border of Sussex and Kent, are family owned and maintained – visitors often express delight at the attention to detail displayed throughout and the intimate, peaceful atmosphere.

All the ingredients of the English Country Garden are present – sweeping herbaceous borders, ha-ha, well maintained lawns, box hedges, espaliered rose walk, historic walled garden, inspiring kitchen garden, venerable trees and the Grade I listed house as a backdrop. The gardens are a haven for wildlife – bees, butterflies and small birds as well as moor hens, ducks and a black swan. Then, of course, the plants! Borders overflowing with perennials and annuals – the look changing through the seasons, but always abundantly filled, and each garden ‘room’ planted in a different colour theme.

Pashley is also renowned for fantastic displays of tulips, roses and dahlias. Our annual Tulip Festival features more than 48,000 tulips this year! During Special Rose Week over a hundred varieties of rose swathe the walls, climb obelisks and bloom in flower beds. Then in late summer our Dahlia Days event transforms the gardens once more with bountiful, brightly coloured dahlias in every border and pot.

Add to all this a Café and Terrace with excellent garden views, serving delicious homemade lunches, scones and cakes; Sculpture and Art Exhibitions; a Gift Shop with Plant Sales; and a friendly, knowledgeable team waiting to welcome you, and the recipe for a wonderful day out is complete.
