Poffertjes a la Bill Clinton - the then American president Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton visited Delft in 1997. Together with Prince Willem Alexander, now King Alexander, they unexpectedly enjoyed Poffertjes in the "Wapen van Delft". The reason for this is that they would visit the Nieuwe Kerk and the royal tomb, but the the key to the tomb was missing.

Delft Culinair - a very nice city with a lot, and a nice variety, of shops, catering and restaurants with numerous cozy terraces in the city center. The many tourists, but especially the students, make it a lively city, car-free in many places, with an extensive menu that fits everyone's wallet
