Molecular Gatastrophe

Day 321 of an Unknown Number

"Molecular Gatastrophe"

I've always been told that I am a descendant of John Alden. John was on the Mayflower, and presumably brought over some tasty recipes, European fashions, and terrible diseases. John was a barrel- maker (a "cooper") by trade, he married Priscilla Mullins, and they had ten children together!!!! He was very busy. Wow. I always knew I liked him......that is actually a quote from Ronald Flump. I digress. John had an inventory at his death which included "neatte cattell sheep swing & one horse", and "cart boults cleavie exseta." Boy, what I could do with those right about now!!! This all ties back to our image of the day. I've been playing with molecular gastronomy for several years, and I thought I'd prepare an odd dish to share at our friends' house on this Turkey Day. The Pringles are topped with Gruyère, a pinch of coffee grounds and a few drops of vanilla-infused olive oil. I used a soda siphon to infuse the oil. I could eat a pile of them right now, as I am some how hungry again after feasting. Thanks for stopping by!!
