In Canada we celebrate our Thanksgiving the 2nd Monday of October each year. So, wishing all my Canadian flickr friends a Happy Thanksgiving filled with time spent visiting friends and family and enjoying a fine feast :)

Had to make 56 pies for the store for the holiday,
most of them are gifts for costumers and some for the workers, no I get no thank you from anyone:-)
I made 4 for our dinner today, besides these 2 also Pecan and Coconut custard.

This will always be my go to Autumn shot and this was the best display of colors of the season during Thanksgiving weekend now covering the ground.
Thanksgiving Day 2016 in the U.S. has come and gone. However, a wish to be grateful remains. It is a choice. I believe it is a choice for all of us; and has nothing to do with whether or not our country celebrates any particular day as a day of thanksgiving. At any moment, we can succumb to the temptation to see ourselves unfairly treated, find evidence to support a range of feelings from rage to despair, or...... we can choose to focus on the blessings in our lives and hold on to our gratitude just as fiercely as we have held on to our grievances. I wish all of you blessing after blessing. As my pastor would say, "Namaste."

On Thanksgiving (and Christmas) I always put out peanut butter, peanuts and birdseed on a couple plates for the birds and squirrels. So far only one squirrel is interested. He/she took all of the peanuts.
