I just had the pleasure of working with Jennifer. She is a real estate agent extraordinaire, and was looking for something a little different in a headshot. We shot several looks (including one in a real estate blazer), but this was one of my favorites. It is not an actor's headshot, nor is it exactly a corporate headshot. It is precisely that thing in between. There are three strobes working in this portrait. As one can see in her eyes, there are two strip banks, tilted to give a nice highlight. If you look very closely, you can see the white reflector beneath the lights, just filling in the shadows under her chin. Lastly, there is snooted speedlight behind her, aimed at the grey background. It provides a subtle halo effect, just giving a little separation from the paper. While the lighting was a little involved, Jennifer did most of the work, and made it easy and fun for me.
